There is not a single movie from Quebec in the top 10. 2012 is maybe the worst year for Quebec films in about 10 years, if not more...

Its total is a little bit less than half the one of Hunger Games. If American Reunion had followed the same pattern in USA, it would have done something like 150 M$! I can guarantee you that Intouchables won't have an OW of 2,5 M$ Only the Harry Potter movies opened in the 2 M$ range! The movie opens this Friday and there's tons of ads, talking about the phenomenon.... Something between 700 000-800 000$ with great legs would be very, very good for a movie from France. Anything over 1 000 000$ for the opening would bluff me.

For me.. it was the end of 1997 and beginning of 1998 when Titanic came out. I know that Avatar crushed Titanic's numbers, but nothing was more interresting than tracking the Big Boat's grosses! I was so impressed by its continuous strenght, being number 1 weeks after weeks... I remember at the beginning of the summer, I was wondering "Will it reach 600 M$?!?" And yep, it did it, in August!I have discovered the web at this time and how easy getting BO numbers was with that :)By the way, Tintin will be released December 9 in Quebec, so I'll try to published the numbers here
