The original is one of my favorite movies. I just watched The Omen II and the 2006 remake for the first time this week. I can't wait for next weekend!
By the way, anybody know any plot spoilers for the film? Message me if you do, please....

The Marvels did drop over 75% just four months ago in its second weekend.
That would be a horrifically awful hold that would put $100M total in jeopardy though if it holds up. Sony would be nuts to make another at this point knowing the potential isn't there unless they really slash the budget down, that's now 2 out of 3 modern attempts at this IP that will end up certified money-losers.
You think Frozen Empire will lose money for Sony?!

I'm really hoping for 30 mil today!! I can't wait to see the movie tomorrow!!

Frozen Empire dropping from Afterlife (even if it was a small drop) can't fill Sony with excitement especially as Afterlife came out when it was still the pandemic and FE boasted the "original stars" that fanboys claimed they wanted when GB '16 came out.
The movie is still performing good relative to its budget.

This is very exciting news!! I'm hoping for 80 mil!! Thank you all for the updates!

Why does Mendelson say that Legendary believes GXK won't break out in China? I haven't followed China's box office recently.

I still wish we had gotten an actual Prometheus 2, and not Alien Covenant.

With such a drastic fall in budget from the first 3, how will the animation compare? I know Dreamworks is using the Illumination budget cutting strategy, but I want to know how the animation will compare to the old movies and other current animated movies.

Now that's a good director choice! Godzilla 2014, Rogue One, and The Creator were all good!

I actually really liked Deadpool 2, although I'm not sure if David Leitch is the right guy for a sequel. I'd rather not have an action comedy, and I think most longterm fans want a back to horror approach. That being said, of course the movie doesn't need to be a comedy with him at the helm, he appears to have directed at least one film that wasn't an action comedy: Atomic Blonde.
I've only seen his film Deadpool 2 so far.

Last year we had Renfield and Last Voyage of the Demeter, this year we have Nosferatu, and now this is entering production!

New Jurassic World in the Works
I love all 6 movies, but I was hoping the series would take a long break so that it wouldn't drag on like the F&F movies. Still, I'm hyped!

Maybe the new Ghostbusters should move up to February? At least then the frozen/winter connection would be much stronger. Plus, that move could help theaters during the dry month.

If Illumnation actually scores a strong opening with this non-IP animated film they literally left to die, they are totally unstoppable
Left to die? Was Universal not confident in the movie?

Not saying this proves anything, but he’s always been kinda gross. There’s a whole video where he just keeps telling a journalist she’s beautiful when she’s trying to interview him and she’s clearly uncomfortable.
Awe man, that is creepy. After all his strong "family" messages too.
I hope the woman he supposedly assualted is able to find some closure eventually (in the case it's true). Many women don't report being assaulted for years, or ever due to being afraid of not being believed. She should definitely be heard out.
I wonder if Riddick 4 will be canceled now?

I thought The Hollywood Handle was an unreliable source?

I know it won't happen, but I'd love if Shaw returns in the final act of this film and finally completes her Engineer quest.

Trailers I'd like to see before Godzilla: Minus One this week:
Cloverfield 2
Universal's April untitled classic monster movie
Godzilla X Kong
Godzilla X Kong being the most likely, of course.
I wonder where Cloverfield 2 will be put on the schedule, and if Universal's monster movie will move now thanks to GXK releasing a week beforehand.
-
I wonder when the first trailer for this will release. This week before Godzilla would be neat, as I'm really curious which classic Universal monster this is based off.

In regards to Ridley Scott:
As somebody who loved Prometheus, I'll never forgive Scott for Alien Covenant. I really wish we could have seen Shaw finding her answers about the Engineers. I can only hope Disney revives her for one last time in a future Alien movie.
But retcon the David creating xenomorphs bit, please.
I'm really hoping Gladiator 2 ends up good.
Hearing people call Napolean a black comedy makes me pessimistic.

I joined this site when I was 13, so it’s always so surreal for me to see people taking this stuff so seriously before I remember I was like that at one point too haha
Yeah, I was just like him. Well, my autism caused me alot of issues here too.
If any teen with autism is reading this, please don't get hurt if others here mock you. The better times here will outweigh those moments. 😀

We should be getting the long range forecast for Migration/Aquaman any moment now. . .
Might the forecast be delayed due to Thanksgiving?

IO2 is Pixar but Zootopia 2 could be next Fall’s WDAS and that will probably do well. Still, it remains to be seen if she can even successfully usher sequels through the process. The making of documentary series on Frozen 2 is not very flattering.
I forget, what did we learn from the documentary series? I remember there was discussion over that. I also remember being very disappointed with Frozen 2, considering the first is one of my favorite movies.

Sigh, a sci fi comedy? I'd rather have a more serious sci fi movie.
