Somehow I missed this news. I can't wait, the original is one of my favorite films. I haven't seen the others however. The plot synopsis for this film is intriguing!

I love Disney's Dinosaur. Such a fun movie to watch, plus seeing all the nice cgi. That and Emperor's New Groove are my favorites from the '00s decade.

Aquaman was a genuine 1 billion film. It wasn’t boosted by other movies like Captain Marvel. It was fun. Visually good. Momoa is a charismatic lead unlike Larson. Wan makes movies audiences like. It’s has way more going for it to avoid a huge drop like this. All 1 billion films are "genuine".

Encanto would never have beaten Frozen domestically or worldwide. Frozen had an important message for young girls everywhere. Plus they finally had a mainstream Disney princesses who didn't need a guy saving them that they could look up to.

I forget, is DanielRPK a reliable source? I forget who he is.
Also, is The Hollywood Handle a reliable source?

At least it wasn't the movie he hated so much he refused to name it
Which was that?

To be honest, I didn't find DaCosta's Candyman to be scary at all. I think Jordan Peele's writing helped that movie more than her direction.

77 RT audience score is bad for a family friendly blockbuster. Letterboxd and imdb scores are terrible. Venom made almost 900 mln and also had decent legs, are we gonna pretend it was a good movie too?
I know a ton of people that also like Venom. Not my type of film at all (I'm never watching that), but I know many did like the film. The sequel wouldn't have been a hit if that wasn't true.

I should point out that Captain Marvel was one of the worst films I've ever seen, in my opinion. I just don't see it any worse than some of Marvel's other movies (such as Iron Man 3, Thor, etc)

In this particular case most people seem to share my opinion, it's a horrible movie across the board.
Had decent legs, made over a billion, and has a 77% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

That IGN reviewer praises everything, even Jurassic World: Dominion. I don't know if she's paid shill or truly over the moon about every movie no matter quality.
Dominion was fun. Not everybody has the same views as you do. 😀

How about them bringing back the cast from Fox XMen movies. I am not talking about Wolverine here 🙂
That's a plus for me. 👍

Unfortunately the next projects are Captain America 4, Thunderbolts and Deadpool 3. Two of those are probably looking at the same level of interest from audiences as The Marvels (possibly lower for Thunderbolts) and Deadpool 3 is already halfway through production and everything about it seems like it will be received below the first 2. They need a return to form with critical and audience reception, as well as box office hits to avoid the "it's dead" label - nothing about their immediate slate says that will happen.
Why does Deadpool 3 seem like it will be worse than the first two to you?
-
I'm sure Brie will be back as Captain Marvel, even it it's not for a while.

How's the trailer, for those who have seen it in theaters?

I enjoyed the movie! I wish we had more sci fi movies like this, 65, and Moonfall. I like turning my brain off and watching how humanity (or humanoids) deal with out of left field situations.

Sadly NOT. The Martian was successfull, Ex Machina for its budget was successfull. It depends. And there are Streaming Services. Did you watch Severance?
The Martian and Ex Machina were back in 2015. Sci fi seemed to have a resurgance during that period thanks to Star Trek and Avatar in 2009. I was hoping that Avatar 2 last year would have brought a new resurgence.
I have not heard of Severance, but I'll have to look it up.

As a huge sci fi fan, serious sci fi sadly isn't in these days. Unless your movie is directed by Cameron. I wish we could receive a million more original sci fi epics.
-
I can't wait to see this! I enjoyed the last two, I'm thankful we're receiving this movie after Death on The Nile underperformed at the box office.
-
I thought it was a fun time! I would definitely reccomend the movie.

Watched it here in Singapore last night, a refreshing superhero origin story which has a lot of heart + humour. My theater ate it up.
Hope it has good legs.
One line was unneccessary though, WB should remove it and get it shown in China...
Or the Chinese Government can stop being so sensitive. 🤷♂️
I'm seeing the movie now!

I thought the trailer was awful and eye rolling. I will still give the film a chance I suppose.

Now my most anticipated film for the rest of the year!

Dang, why the change so close to release?
