  1. So it seems like Alita is pretty much another Pacific Rim situation. (Which is another film I loved). At least I got a sequel to Pacific Rim (that I also loved), I really hope Cameron’s leverage can convince Disney and Fox to green light just one sequel. Either way, I fully expect there to be a sequel, even if it takes thirty or so years, like with cult clasics Tron and Blade Runner.

  2. Can someone explain why I and many others walked out of Blade Runner 2049 and Battle Angel satisfied, while when we walked out of Ghost in the Shell, we were disappointed? Both Ghost and Angel were a bit simple and cliched in plot, yet Angel is now one of my favorite movies while Ghost I consider a film that didn’t reach its potential.

Anyways I still can't get over how good that first shot of Elsa standing on the beach next to the water looks. I legit thought I clicked on the wrong trailer and was looking at some live action footage. And unlike the first Cars 3 teaser which also had realistic looking first teaser I bet the Elsa footage is from the actual film.

I was wondering what was up with Cars 3 when I saw it. I was disappointed it didn’t look as neat as the teaser!

Not gonna lie, I don't think most aspects of that trailer were bad. I even didn't mind the genie.

but those COSTUMES. Man, that makes it look like some Gods of Egypt-level shit. And I really think that "look" is going to hurt this film. Who knows where this ends up; if it truly is awful I can see a world where it does Prince of Persia numbers, but I could also honestly see it still doing like an 80/250 run. Gonna entirely depend on how general audiences take to it.

Gods of Egypt was much better than this shit.
