In that case the other person's tweet was talking about Joyce's Ulysses, and it was specifically Joyce that she criticized.
Ohhhhhh, I’m guessing that’s a newer adaptation? That makes me feel a lot better, as I really want to read the original.

I can't find this tweet (do you have a link?). If it's worded the way you describe, I think she's wrong about why it's revered by others. There's an enormous number of other "old stories by white people" that have been lost to history entirely, or have far less cultural awareness and impact. If I had to guess why, it'd be because they haven't been as well-regarded.
I believe it was a retweet of another person’s tweet.

To someone who has seen Curse of La Llorona, how much humor is in it? Or is it more straight forward horror?
-
The writer for Pacific Rim 2 stated on Twitter that Homer’s Odyssey was a bad story that is only revered because we look fondly on old stories by white people.
Is she telling the truth, do people consider it a bad story today? Or she is just talking shit?

Dang, does Ben Affleck actually dislike Armageddon? Or does he just think it could have been better? I wonder what his thoughts on Pearl Harbor are.

Does anyone know what Kenneth thinks of his Frankenstein movie?

I can’t wait, I’ve wanted a good horror on Hansel and Gretel for a while.

Honestly that all seems to be a bit tame compared to other movies adaptations.

I read Walt Disney disliked the original film, is that true?

Does anyone know what Kenneth and De Niro thought of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein?

Do you know why-
How come some big blockbuster films receive a “making of” book, and others don’t? Is it because the studio isn’t confident in the film, or the director is not pleased with the final direct? Or I’m guesssing, not an interest in creating one???And would you ever write a Lab Rats Making of book?!!!!!! -

How does one looks for poor cgi in movies? It is just natural? I usually have a hard time differentiating between good and awful cgi.
-
Sadly it appears only superhero movies are doing great numbers still.
-
Which big budget blockbusters in recent years has the worst cgi?

Eh I’m hoping for Chaos Walking news at Lionsgate’s presentation. Although the fact they’re seeming to promote Knives Out, presumably a movie with a smaller budget than Chaos Walking, is not a good sign. I just wish it would do well for sci fi’s sake.
Also, anyway anyone know when the presentations are today?
-
Will Sony have a presentation?

Nothing on Artemis Fowl....hmmm

I hope more info on Disney Plus also! (Please let all Muppet stuff be on it)

Man, what I would do for an AD Astra trailer released this week.

So they shuttered 2000 and kept Blue Sky. Wow. I guess whatever types of movies coming from 2000 will just go through the main fox label now
Hey, I wish they kept Fox 2000, but I’m super glad they kept Blue Sky.
Also happy to hear about Alien.

As a Blue Sky fan, I’m very happy!

I am rewatching Phantom Menace, I haven’t seen it in ten years. Let’s see if I still like it as when I was young. Were people extremely disappointed when it came out, or was it gradually disliked by the following years?
