I'm going in for my 2nd viewing at 6PM.
Lincoln Square's delicious 70mm IMAX? Do it!

Uh, now eventually you do plan to talk about numbers in your, in your numbers thread, right?

I never thought I would be this ambivalent to a TS4 announcement. Sure, I will go watch it, but TS-TS2-TS3 was a perfect trilogy.
This. Such mixed feelings atm.

Interstellar is not going to have the WOM to reach $200m if it opens to $55m.
I agree. If it opens to $55m I think it finishes around $150-160m. I liked it a lot but this will be a hard sell to a lot of people and many won't like it. If somehow this hits $200m (by opening less than $65m and getting a 3+ multiplier) then Nolan really can do whatever the hell he wants and it just doesn't matter lol

I guess the "big friday increase and hard drop on saturday" theory failed big time
Friday was Halloween so this weekend was off.
So apparently WOM was so bad on Ouija that it dropped a massive 40%.
See above But no that's a good hold regardless, but Halloween played a big part I think.

Damn, no one cares about daily numbers anymore huh? :/
Well at least until next week when Interstellar and BH6 come out.

Oh, IT'S ON!!!!!!!!!!
Careful, if she realizes what movie your avatar is from you're in big trouble mister.

once i finish uni stuff in a couple of days, i'm gonna write a giant ass review for this, just to explain why it's really, really misogynistic.
btw, noir sort of encapsulates the male gaze theory of film to a tee. it's sometimes ironic, but definitely not always.
Please, spare us. It's a fictitious story based on a book and screenplay written by a woman.

Gone Girl still rolling...nice.

No early Monday numbers?
No afternoon Monday numbers yet either :/

I think Fury looks good.
I agree, I think Fury looks good and if it has strong reviews it could have a decent ow and run.

IT'S FUCKING DEAD, OKAY? FUCKING DEAD.
Rise from your grave!

Bay's best movie for sure.
-
Are Peter and Stewie, etc. in this too, or is it just about the cleaning lady?
-
I honestly thought this was opening tomorrow...looks like no one else knew it opened yesterday either. Not that I think there was much demand for it anyway though.
-
Yup, rewatched it recently and it's still my favorite movie of the year so far.

7 out of like 2 million who have seen the movie is not really a good same size lol...it's an 8.8 on imdb with 21,000 votes so that's a little better I guess...and a similar score with 40,000 user rt votes.Lol not saying your guys opinions are wrong at all, obviously people love the movie, but its EXTREMELY interesting to me that not a single person I know personally even liked this movie. Thats a rare thing. And why does the thread baffle me? maybe the fact that I don't know a single person who has liked the movie in real life! Then I go online and see its universally appraised. That would shock you too. 0/7 give it a positive review, yet I go online and a see 99%.... its the definition of surprising haha.

It's not 100% in stone, and his career was probably fine before that, not like Alba's. Like obviously TMNT is better for Fox's career than if it bombed, let's see if she gets anymore work now (shell at least get TMNT2 out of it).Sure, but JGL did TDKR, so his career is fine.

A movie that does well is good for an actor's career, even if it sucks...makes them more marketable and agent can get them more work and $, etc.Why is it a mistake? Just because a movie makes a lot of money, doesn't mean it's any good.At least, that's what everyone tells me here.

GOTG back on top, as it should be...

Sure...Sept 5th 2008.September 5th would've been a great date for Sin City 2. Riddick did fine on that same weekend.

catastrophic. am i supposed to be impressed that richard dragged around a kid for 12 years to be a prop in a film about nothing whatsoever? oh sorry, it's about life. maybe life is indeed uninteresting and trite, but that ought to spur indictment and motivation to achieve more, not celebration of mediocrity delivered by scene after scene of the most ridiculous cliche imaginable. also, it seems richard sent DNA of his prospective actors to 23andme to determine optimal future photogenicity.

This isn't coming out in 2016...2017, maybe.
Wknd Estimates: Nolan = 50M | BH6 = 56M+(pg 72) (who cares, our forum lives!)

That would be awesome.
