  1. I still think Potter is the poster boy for consistency. With the exception of the first one being an outlier, 6 of the films fell between somewhere around 40-45m admissions domestically. DH1 fell a little below that. Potter went strong for 10 years. Twilight will have knocked out 5 films in 4 years. It has the clear advantage with time and holding peoples attention.
  2. Potters gradual increase in OD #s is just a combination of films getting more front loaded as time goes on and the last two Potter movies being released on a Friday. With the exception of maybe DH1, all of the Potter films met or exceeded most of people's expectations with their openings.
  3. BD1 should be able to at least match what New Moon made during the day. That would put it at 76m. OW should be around 145-150m.
  4. I'm not comparing it. I was just wondering what DHII's non-3D opening would be. People are all about ticket sales and want to know if this was close to DHII which happens to be the most attended single day movie. Not trying to make this Potter vs. Twilight, so chill.
  5. New Moon's OD adjusts to around 76m. Seems like a reasonable goal for Breaking Dawn to reach.
  6. Ok. So it appears doubtful that Breaking Dawn will sell more tickets than DHII in its OD. I'm wondering if this thing can crack 150m for the weekend.
  7. Anyone know what DHII's OD would be if it didn't have 3D?
  8. Not bad. Should go up to at least around 75m.
