  1. this is a very small problem i had with the movie but was anyone else disappointed by the CGI for Maz? I thought she looked very cartoon-ey and there was one point in her final scene i think where she pushed Fin away that looked really awkward and took me out of the movie
  2. Could CF/MJ pass DH2's WW opening record? is that basically untouchable?
  3. I don't really understand the shade thrown at HP. This film owes part of its success to HP and Twilight and I doubt these books would have been picked up for adaptions if it weren't for their successes.Plus i dont think it's really fair to compare an 8th movie to that of a 1st movie. SS's adjusted gross is 437.7m (BOM) which DH2's adjusted gross doesn't even compare to. Another factor is that HP is innately british. The moment when HG breaks out overseas will tell whether it can truly compare with HP's popularity. AKA it wont cause SS made 970 (unadjusted right off the bat) .
  4. Well it isn't really a fair comparison for DH1 anyway. 4th movie vs. 7th* movie. 3 years vs. 9 years.
  5. Is breaking dawn doing marginally more than New Moon because of better legs or less competition?
  6. I think it is more logical to compare it to DH2 since DH1 wasn't as front-loaded.
  7. I dont get how the Twilight Saga is more impressive domestic-wise when DH1 is the only HP film NM and Eclipse have surpassed in tickets. Even then, DH1 is the seventh film in its series' (in a span of 9 years) while NM and Eclipse is the second and third in its series' (in a span of 2 and 3 years). This would mean that Harry Potter did more than what Twilight is doing now 7 times. The only more impressive domestic feat that Twilight has is in its Midnight/Opening Day/Opening Weekend records which DH2 as its series' 8th film/10th year surpassed despite not being a big player in those areas in the first place.
