Nordics are very rich and expensive region. Looking up minimum wage is DKK110 i.e. $17.5 while a Average movie ticket is around DKK100-140 depending on what sort of movie.
As an example. If you`re a 18 year old student and help at a restaurant or a movie theater you get22-25$ pr hour
12,5% on top of that for when you want to take a day of or take a vacation
5-10% pension
When you`re sick you get full salery
So as a imployer you pay around 30$ in total for a person in student jobs. Now you all know why its so expensive here

People are forgetting the key fact that those other countries don't have HBO Max.
Here in Denmark we get HBO Max in a month. But they won`t release day and date with theaters like they do in the US for new movies.”Its an american thing” they said in the press release

HUGE pre-sales in Denmark for Dune. 4225 seats sold on 42 sites for WED previews, mostly 1 show each site. @fmpro
I supposed 80-90K ($1.3-1.5M) weekend is possible.
Yep. Caught me totally of guard. I had no idea it could be this big. It will have a HUGE opening here. 100k is surely in the cards with a great sunday.
Weather is a little rainy so late walkups could be great during the weekendOhh. And ticket prices for this are HIGH. look for 22-25$ pr ticket. So 2 mill+ OW are more likely IMO

Oh Sony what the hell are you doing
This does raise the question that is when the hell is Venom getting released in Europe: one week before or one week after America?
So far we get NTTD on Sep 30 and Venom on Okt 14 here in Denmark -
WOW WOW WOW WOW!!
I loved it. It was amazing. Funny, amazing cgi and over the top Kung Fu action.
I have to go see it again
2 minor issues
SpoilerPacing and the monster at the end. And not enough Abomination

I'll keep my position where Delta and COVID eventually (and much sooner than later) go away on a pandemic level and theatrical business is strong again and others can hold onto their gloom and doom and think this will be around forever and theaters are dead.
We'll see who turns out to be correct. I'll guarantee you that it's me.
So there is no middle ground? Very few thinks the first IMO- 1

I am surprised by that, but I stand my my statment that SLate tends to sneer at anything that is popular.
Fits perfect with TSS then…- 1

I think people were surprised how fun Venom was. Whereas Suicide Squad left people disappointed.
Agree. TSS made me laugh a few times. But behind were a young female who laughed at everything. Seriously. Every minute something “funniest thing ever!l happend. Kinda ruined it for me a bit. It was`ent THAT funny.Venom was okay for me. Nothing more. But i must admit that V2 looks like a blast and i will be there OD

I thought it was a pretty good movie. Very entertaining, very violent and pretty funny. Crazy minds made this and did a better job than with the first one
But it did`ent blow me away. Maybe it was my high expectations

all of european majors have a full vaccinations of around 45 % by nov that number should be around 60% or so , thats not enough for herd immunity but if they need to lockdown again with 60% full vaccinations then idk what else to say..............
experts here says 80-85% because of Delta. Not many countries will ever reach that with vaccination- 1

The Delta variant is little more than a head cold for anyone that has been vaccinated and isn't old or full of comorbid issues. Even for the youth that haven't been vaccinated it is almost completely devoid of serious cases.
Yet here we are 18 months after the start of a pandemic and people want to shut everything down again and freak out despite the actual numbers that matter holding low. Already in England the downward slope has begun for this variant. People have lost their damn minds.
Agree. At some point in the near future we need to ignore how many Covid cases there are. When everyone over 12 has been offered a vaccine and had their chance i can`t see why all the rest of us should care “about them” anymore. They made their choice. Now they have to learn to live(or die) with it.Here in Denmark there have not been a death in 8 days now and only unvaccinated people are hospitalized. Still box office is under 50% pre Covid

Any predictions for next weekend?
Looks like both Old and Snake Eyes are getting 3,300+ locations.
I’m thinking:
Old $15m+ (but very frontloaded if the rumours are true lol)Snake Eyes $12m
Is that OD or OW🤔 -
