All those people complaining about there not being enough stripping in the first one should be VERY happy with this one.

I wouldn't say it's a good "movie," there isn't much of a narrative.  It's just a road trip to go do the last show and there are little stops along the way wherein guys dance and take off lots of clothes.

But the choreography and the dancing was all pretty entertaining.  That full scene in the convenient store was really funny.  The finale should leave all the ladies(and men) satisfied.

Plus, my boy Glover had a good little part. Got to sing and rap a little.

In addition to being hugely entertaining, this has to be the most genuinely warm, inclusive and all-around good-natured movie of the year. It starts as your typical buddy road movie, but by the end casually grows into a touching picture of what people of different races, sexes, gender identities and sexualities can be to one another, and in that sense it's a hundred times more inspirational than any movie that openly announces itself as being so. The humor works, the actors' enthusiasm is infectious, and Soderbergh (sorry, Peter Andrews) does beautiful work behind the camera (the beach scene with Tatum and Heard is especially striking). Loved it.

LOVE.

A sheer breakdown of stereotypes and cynicism in favor of a pure heart and truly progressive, loving, and inspiring messages. You just let the love of the movie enter your heart, and it may very well make you a better person. No sense of irony or lack of authenticity here: every reaction and moment feels genuine, from the pure joy of the performances to the more mellow moments of heartbreak. It's all so simple, yet hugely profound and telling of just what seems to be missing in most movies: a pure love for its audience and belief in their abilities. It doesn't just give us what we want, it gives us what we need. In other words, its the near perfect blend of escapism and art, bringing a world so joyous and genuine that you truly do believe. That, and it's super well shot and entertaining, with so many well done dance numbers.
