I'm a bit of a sucker for these women revenge films.  I thought the first film, the remake that is, was one of the better horror remakes around.  Part of that was because star Sara Butler was just so perfect in the role.  But another big part was that I'm big on creative revenge killings.  

 

This one started out oddly as the city setting didn't feel as good as the setting alone in the woods.  But as the film moves along, it gets better and better.  Star Jemma Dallender is really good in a role that is obviously tough to play.  She spends the first half of the movie getting dehumanized by these monsters and then when it is her time to pay them back, she really goes to town.  There was one scene where she basically tells Brian Mills to eat his heart out as she electrocutes her tormentor for at least a minute.  You get watch this asshole fry for what he did to her.

 

This is obviously not a film for many, but for me, I appreciate what it did and where it was coming from.
