Is it just me or presales figures are not too impressive for the moment? I know first Pegasus did 1.7b 5 years ago, but can any of these films surprise?

Maybe it's because 4 out of 7 are just comedy while 2 are animation &1 drama.

 

Pegasus 2 likely pulling Only Fools Rush In.

 

& About Dark Horse, I heard Article 20 &Viva La Vida is good in quality in which Viva PS isn't even good though I must admit that only Boonie Bears is doing something good (best in Film Series)

 

Not forget Yuan is so weak at this point ($1 = ¥7.11)

Not forget Yuan is so weak at this point ($1 = ¥7.11)

In local releases I do not care about dollar figures, but local currency figures. It is absurd to compare local grosses with a foreign currency. I only use dollars to compare WW grosses.

 

Relative to films genres, I understand that being comedies, dramas or animated films, presales are not so important.

 

Anyway, it will be fun to follow these runs. This CNY week has become my favorite box office period in the whole year.
