In 12 openings, Bad Moms grossed $1.4M at 914 locations. Highlights include Denmark with $310K from 60. That’s 75% ahead of Bridesmaids, 115% on top of Sex Tape, and 450% over Trainwreck. Norway was likewise a No. 3 bow with $185K from 130 locations: +18% of Bridesmaids, +31% of Sex Tape, +58% of Trainwreck. In Finland, the comps are +45%, +16% and +75%, respectively with $100K at 100 dates. Bridesmaids ultimately legged to $119.3M offshore, Sex Tape climaxed with $88M and Trainwreck ended its journey at $31M.

Spain was the top-grossing bow at $325K from 270 to turn the fire up 34% versus The Heat. The South East Asian markets, which include India, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan, were worth $262K.

The comedy added nine new international markets, raising a glass to $2.9M in a total 21. The offshore cume is $5.5M to date. Despite strong competition from Suicide Squad, the adult-skewed counterprogrammer had good holds and continues to outperform comps. In France, it opened No. 6 with $800K; Belgium was a No. 4 start with $305K from 50 locations — that’s 23% ahead of Bridesmaids, 45% over The Heat and 51% atop What To Expect When You’re Expecting. Denmark now has a cume of $696K (+25% on Bridesmaids, 88% ahead of Sex Tape, 430% over Trainwreck). Norway and Finland have cumed $543K and $288K, respectively. A key market on this sort of film, Australia bows next weekend as do the Netherlands and Sweden. Brazil, the UK and Mexico are later in August with Russia and Germany in September.

Screendaily - Charting second in Australia with a $3m bow, Bad Moms partied to an estimated $6.2m from its 30 markets for $13.6m overseas. The R-rated comedy also opened in the Netherlands with $640k and added $440k in France for $1.5m after two weeks in play.

Screendaily - Bad Moms grossed an estimated $3.9m from its 33 markets for $20.6m to date overseas and $106.4m worldwide. The R-rated comedy opened in the likes of South Africa ($143k from 65 sites) and Croatia ($173k from 31), while Australia took $1.84m for $5.89m after two weeks. It opens in the UK and Mexico next weekend.

Screendaily: Opening in four new markets, Bad Moms partied to an estimated $5m from its 50 markets for $37.65m overseas and $141.2m globally.

The R-rated comedy fell only 4% (excluding previews) on its way to a $1.54m second weekend in the UK for $5.23m, while it retained top spot in Australia with a $966k fourth weekend for $9.6m to date.

$150M worldwide!

Screendaily reports: Bad Moms has crossed the $150m mark at the global box office to stand at $151.9m. Overseas, the comedy took an estimated $3.7m from its 53 markets for $44.4m, with the UK leading with the way with a $1.25m third weekend (a drop of only 19%) for $7.64m to date.

Screendaily Bad Moms partied to an extra estimated $2.3m from its 60 markets for $62.5m overseas and $175.4m worldwide.

Ahead of its release in Italy next weekend, the comedy fell only 32% in Germany with a $1.5m third weekend for a local tally of $7.6m.

Maybe some comedies aren't made for the OS-audience but rather the DOM-audience.

Trainwreck and Crazy Stupid Love didn't do well OS as much as they did DOM either.

 

BM still had a solid gross though and will still had for profitability. No worries.

Screendaily: R-rated hit Bad Moms brought in a further $2.5m from 61 markets as the tally climbed to $66.1m and the global haul reached $179.1m.

The film opened at number four in Italy on $875k for 255 and stands at $9.3m in Germany after four and $11.6m and $10.9m in Australia and the UK after eight.
