I liked this one. Can't go wrong with a goofy-ass Michael Shannon performance.

Elvis & Nixon is an incredibly stupid movie that annoyingly doesn't realize how idiotic it is. For a majority of its runtime, it treats its subjects seriously with a few jokes here and there, rather than making it the all-out comedy it clearly wants to be. Shannon and Spacey are clearly doing impressions rather than performances, but they're still pretty fun. The other characters are all forgettable and unfortunately they're the bulk of the first hour of this movie. The ending is amusing though, although the postscript is highly unnecessary. The opening credits were also stylish in a very good way. Elvis & Nixon never really amounts to anything, being disappointingly forgettable despite its fascinating subjects. C-
