Like the last movie this movie is over the top. But it is fun and has some great moments. Most of the jokes land and the movie plays out as expect. Adding the mom's mom in was a nice story element. Some parts of the movie do drag. I will say the first act was the part of the movie.  I thought everyone did good job. I did not like it as much as the first one.

It's definitely a step down from its surprisingly very funny predecessor but it's still a fun time and better than most cash grab sequels. The cast is the best thing once again (Kathryn Hahn is hilarious but not as much of an obvious standout like she was in the first movie), and the talents of Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines, and Susan Sarandon are put to good use. B-

Don't see the problem critics have with this one. Sure it's not a good as the first nor quite as funny, but it definitely has some solid laughs and a surprising amount of heart towards the end.

I found some of it to be hit and miss, but the comedy that hits is OH MY GOD funny.  The Wanda Sykes cameo was pretty hilarious.  I didn't find it quite as consistently funny as the first but I found it funnier than the first.  The Christmas setting was nice and of course it ends well.  Sarandon was good and well as the other moms but it's still Hahn that has the best scenes.
