I liked it. I was really rooting for Harold and I felt involved in the film. It was more thrilling than funny, which was a surprise as it's been marketed as a comedy. And there are various jokes/gags that I didn't laugh at. I'm not sure what it was intended exactly as but I did enjoy myself.

 

David Oyelowo is fantastic and without him I think the film would have lost me pretty early on. Liked the rest of the cast, obviously they're good actors but Charlize Theron is very good at being a bitch and Joel Edgerton is really good at being a dick. Sharlto Copley is Sharlto Copley.

 

It also should have lost a sub plot with Amanda Seyfried and her character's boyfriend, I don't know what the point of that was, not sure why they are in the film.
