Dilusha Bandara
I said 35m? It's a bit optimistic, but not impossible. $25m is more realistic I think it'll reach 30 & pass life of pi.

Fullbuster
http://www.kinometro.ru/release So it's the number of screens...950 screens, it's low for a blockbuster in Russia o_o

juni78ukr
Universal here always reports only number of theaters, not screens.
Fullbuster
Universal here always reports only number of theaters, not screens. So, let's imagine each theater gives 2 screens we just have to double the theaters' numbers to have a good estimate. I know, it's quite random and not very reliable

Dilusha Bandara
So it's the number of screens...950 screens, it's low for a blockbuster in Russia o_o 1000 for Millers and 950 for DM2? That means they assume, when DM2 makes 30M, Millers would make 35M?????
Fullbuster
1000 for Millers and 950 for DM2? That means they assume, when DM2 makes 30M, Millers would make 35M????? It's not that simple, it depends on the distributor, and "more screens" doesn't mean "more dollars."
Fullbuster
KINOMETRO'S FORECASTS : Despicable Me 2 : $12.1m OW (400,000 RUB) Apparently 950 screens is the accurate number, it's low. With such an OW we can hope for $25m in the end, but $30m would be difficult to reach. Edited August 15, 2013 by Sonic
Fullbuster
It's as much as DM1's total gross, in just 4 days, it's a good growth for sure. But The Joker could be disappointed given $30m is a long shot, but it's possible, Monsters U reached $21m with $7m OW.
