I'm glad for it since the film is just as good as DOFP imho.

Brazil is one of the only markets where it didn't disappoint :) Sadly the numbers aren't that good in USD : $28m DOFP vs $17.5m XMA

Well, Brazilians have good taste for Superhero movies.

It's doing pretty well in China too, there's a good chance it'll out-gross DOFP over there in dollars!

Captain America CW reached $40.5m, the first movie of the year going beyond 40m and far ahead of CA TWS' $28m.

Hopefully more will follow suit!

:bravo:

As I see it,IA5 is locked and maybe Fantastic Beasts will achieve that too.

IA4 made $44.5M back in 2012 which is enormous so I think IA5 will make big numbers as well.

As for Ice Age 5 it's not totally certain to pass because the local currency lost much of its value since 2012, meaning IA5 will need to gross much more than IA4 in local currency to do that. Wait&See :)

Finding Dory could surprise us :)

Unfortunately Pixar movies rarely do well in this market :(so I doubt that.It would still gross $1B though.

That's true but Dory is different : Nemo was the 3rd biggest movie in 2003 there in admissions, ahead of Matrix and LOTR ROTK. Plus FD had a great start in Colombia and Argentina :)
