Mockingjay Raphael
Yesterday they didn't release the opening weekend numbers for the movie in Brazil and Italy to the press. But those are good numbers, we can't expect much more from a drama here....
Napoleon
But those are good numbers, we can't expect much more from a drama here.... It's almost a 3D adventure It had IMAX previews during two weeks. I'm sure the studio expected more, it made less than US$1M here and was almost beaten by The Intern. It is more a drama than an adventure movie, tbh And IMAX is not a big deal in Brazil
Fullbuster
I wonder if this bad economy will have any impact in the Box Office? I'm not talking about ER, but the numbers in lc, if people will stop going to cinema? That depends...In countries like France or the US the effect was relatively not felt while it has been terribly painful for the box office in Spain and Italy. Spain's BO market lost more than 30% of its size in Euros between 2009 and 2013. Brazil probably can grow a little bit in lc thanks to inflation but if the unemployment increases even more than now Brazil could feel the effect in lc, after all consumption decreased lately, retail sales slumped..So can cinema be spared? Difficult to say. If there is a decrease in lc the fall could be even more violent in dollars..

Fullbuster
We are in the middle of a crisis, and we're just having our biggest year ever in lc, let's hope things will still improving next year It's because the effects of this crisis are not completely felt yet and it got helped from huge movies such Avengers 2, FF7 and Minions. By next year more people will be unemployed and only Ice Age could compete with these movies I talked about. So let's be cautious about next year. As I said for now the growth is in big part due to inflation but too much inflation could reduce admissions at some point if it's too prolonged. We'll see but let's hope for the best.
