The theatrical release is just bad, there is no depth whatsoever. The nearly 1 hour extended director's cut is an amazing film and one of Ridley Scott's best.

The normal release is okay but the Director Cut actually makes a rather solid epic film.Directors Cut feels like an old school epic with an intro and intermission and everything. Plus these kinds of movies need to be long to tell a grand tale and the DC does that.If you watch this film watch the Directors CutB+
