Punishment
I was curious if anyone knows why Michael Goldenberg was the screenwriter for Order of the Phoenix while Steve Kloves was for the rest?I haven't been a big follower of Harry Potter, but my son has started watching them recently. Thanks
Noctis
Steve Kloves had a really rough time adapting Goblet of Fire (IMO, by far the hardest book to adapt into one film from the first six). Also, he said he was having a bad day when they asked him to write OoTP. He said if they had asked him on another day, he might have said yes. But, yeah, that's mostly it. Darth Homer
And that's why OotP was the worst of the movies.
Punishment
OOTP and Deathly Hallows II were actually my favorites of all the movies.

Accursed Arachnid!™
Admittedly, I never read the books so I may have felt differently if I had, but I like OOTP second to POA. DH1/DH2 is a close third. Actually, I like the odd numbered films best: SS, POA, OOTP, DH1/2(I think of those two as one long movie, otherwise DH1 by itself feels very incomplete). Punishment
.... DH1/2(I think of those two as one long movie, otherwise DH1 by itself feels very incomplete). Agreed, DH1 is far inferior to DH2 for me.
