A Marvel Fanboy
Thursday 15:30pm: TT2 on course to match or outdo its prredecessor with less screens, which opened to might 77M on June 27 also a Thursday. PR, hefty drop. Crime of Passion underperformed as expected. One Night Surprise opens on Friday. Edit: More later ... A Marvel Fanboy
So Tiny Times is indeed critics proof. Its fanbase is very stable, just like Twilight movies. Fangirls will show up no matter what. Also, early August release also helps TT2 more than late June release, since all students, its target audience, are available during weekdays this time. POLYLOVE
PR should thank Wanda Cinemas for more screenings. Wanda really hate TT2.

A Marvel Fanboy
So they are basically pulling PR from theaters one week after it opened? Fuck this. Screening decreases sub 50% for 2nd wkn from first weekend. Well, what happens to PR is certainly not the worst ... that's all I can say. A Marvel Fanboy
Revised projection for PR: Mon 30m Tue 32m Wed 27m Thu 23m Fri 20m Sat 28m Sun 24m So looks to be 184M 2nd week at the moment. With addational theater reports, could be close to 190M. 280m + 190m = 469M total after two wkns. The next test will be Aug 13th when The Palace opens on Chinese VD. Then Aug 16th when Unbeatable opens. After that, it pretty much ends run on Aug 20. Edited August 8, 2013 by firedeep
