kayumanggi
But I'll watch THE HUNGER GAMES on Wednesday. Will it still be playing on Friday?
forg
I think so although for sure THG will occupy a lot of screens but I think theaters will still allocate screens for Mirror, Mirror and Lorax. Maybe John Carter too

kayumanggi
Also, THG opens today at 8:00 PM in some cinemas and 11:59 PM in others. Can't watch today. Need to work. #disappointed
forg
^ Me too. And I actually got invited to an advanced screening at Gateway but that's too far from where I live (I'm from Cavite) and I need to finish some stuff at work so can't stay that late. I'll catch this probably on Friday although I think I will watch The Muppets first

kayumanggi
By the way, that's an awesome drop for JOHN CARTER.
forg
^ Yup, hopefully it will pass Underworld Awakening as well.Haven't watched The Hunger Games yet and it's jampacked at the cinemas last night.I watched The Muppets which is was just like 30% full (it won't likely get a second week ) Here's my review by the way (shameless blog promotion )
forg
"Latin and South American action was also strong. Mexico chipped in $3.59 million while Brazil furnished $2.6 million. Muscular per-screen numbers were posted in the Philippines ($1.71 million), Singapore ($1.38 million) and in Taiwan ($1.36 million)" http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/foreign-box-office-hunger-games-john-carter-21-jump-street-304038 So that's around 70 million pesos and that's an insane number! Could end up with $6-$7 million / 250-300 million pesos!
kayumanggi
How's the WOM? Don't you think 6 M is a stretch?
forg
^ WOM is pretty good and unless Wrath of the Titans kills it this weekend, it should get to 6 million. Local flick No Other Woman opened around the same with THG (and that was R13) and so I think this one should have a shot at 6 million. Wrath of the Titans is the only new release this week but it has a saturated release plus 3D and IMAX so let's see.
kayumanggi
That would be huge for a non-sequel. Great if it happens.
forg
WTF at BOM! http://boxofficemojo.com/intl/philippines/?yr=2012&wk=12&p=.htm N The Hunger Games Pioneer $145,391 - 260 - $559 $145,391 1 That's definitely a mistake. I'm going to e-mail them, hopefully they can correct it soon. Not going to the update the list yet
