Crossed Frozen II but Admission is way behind (Frozen II did 3,082,756) for 4th Highest Grossing Film in Philippines behind the two Avengers & Rewind

Despicable Me 4 - 112,661,055

I'll take it.

We were so BACK before this typhoon haha. Thanks for the info!

PEP is reporting Deadpool & Wolverine opened to ₱24.5 million on its first day here. They also acknowledged that some malls closed earlier that day.

Reported total until Friday is around ₱80 million and their source predicts a ₱160 million (est. $2.7M) opening week. We'll see if it matches.

Who can now beat Inside Out 2Moana 2 Hello Love Again are the likely contenders this year.

New report now says ₱185 million not 160. As always, we'll see.

Well, that's how previous films did

Deadpool - ₱146,556,687 / ₱291,609,500

Deadpool 2 - ₱140,192,541 / ₱276,405,268

Maybe ₱350M this time?

Typhoon/Monsoon possibly hurt its opening week so we can likely see a bit of a strong second week + no direct competition this August so it's possible.

Inside Out 2 - $50,029 | $14,009,260

INSIDE OUT II finally crosses 14M. I'm thinking maybe a 7.5M - 8.5M finish for DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE.

DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE held relatively well. Just dropping 40.2%. Total is now 5.72M after a 1.89M weekend. A 9M finish is possible now.

Perhaps the rains last week really made an impact or people really just liked it. It's only below GOTG 3's -39% second week drop.

Un/Happy For You (T-6)

August 14

218 tickets sold

Inside Out 2 (T-7): 2414 tickets [₱88.8 million OD]

Deadpool 3 (T-6): 3835 tickets [₱24.5 million OD*]

Inside Out 2 (T-5): 3661 tickets

Not bad imo. Even sales across my cinemas tracked except in Davao (Mindanao region).

*likely affected by early mall closures

Un/Happy For You (T-2)

August 14

549 seats sold (+331)

Inside Out 2 (T-2): 7935 tickets

Deadpool 3 (T-3): 5642 tickets

Its pace is between the 2 films above. DP3 comp would give us a ₱2.5M opening while IO3 would give us ₱6M. Not too shabby and there's room for an increase.

Also, they've been doing mall tours like hell and it's helping imo. Should be decent weekend alongside Alien Romulus

The weekend was $801,856 and the total is now $6,824,485. It seems the weekdays were a little bit weak. Maybe an 8.2M - 8.6M finish?

It already gave its IMAX shows to Alien Romulus this week (tho it may come back). Fortunately, Beetlejuice is still three weeks away and IDK if Filipinos will go for that film. A local film should utilize September - maybe those hit Cinemalaya 2024 films.
