What the hell happened with the Alex de la Iglesia horror movie?

It premiered on Sitges last October with terrible reviews and it got pushed back 4 months and got dumped. Yelmo, one of the biggest theatre chains here, didn't even release it. I saw it on Sitges and the film is pretty mediocre. La Abuela did so much better in January

DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS (D-2) - 4.681 tickets sold (74 showtimes in 4 theatres)

Outstanding numbers for this. Already at 2,1x FB3, 0,78x Spider-Man (finals) with 2 days left

So DS2 don't get Fiesta del cine

DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS (D-0) - 6.001 tickets sold (78 showtimes in 4 theatres)

I couldn't count the tickets in one of the theatres because the web was down. If we use the same percentage increase as the other 3 did for the last 2 days (28%), the total for DS2 is up to 6.320 tickets sold. I will use that number for the comps

Comps:

2,83x FB3 (€7,50M OW)

2,24x The Batman (€7,61M OW)

4,69x DUNE (€9,63M OW)

7,45x Shang-Chi (€11,31M OW)

3,61x Eternals (€9,35M OW)

4,06x Venom 2 (€13,16M OW)

1,12x Spider-Man: No Way Home (Released on Thursday) (€8,16M OW)

This is so hard to predict because pre-sales are amazing, even better than Spider-Man. It's doing also 2x Captain Marvel and 70% what EndGame did in pre-sales (also on a Thursday). €7M OW could be a safe bet

Kinepolis Madrid DS2's presales are a 78% higher than The Batman at the same point (10,167 vs 5,717 tickets sold for the whole weekend). That would give it a €6m OW (TB opened to €3.4m). Adding data that @ScareLol has given, it seems the OW will be really huge.

For the record, the whole run of first Doctor Strange was 6,263,539 € and 1,003,302 admissions... :stretcher:

This is not that good. One of the most frontloaded SH móviles I've ever seen after that amazing Friday.

The same happened here in Portugal. It was the hottest weekend of the year which drove a lot of people to open areas.
