Alpha
I was thinking...How about every year starting with Y7, everyone claims a Super Bowl spot for their movies in a Super Bowl thread.
Blankments
We've tried it before. The problem is making it really affect the B.O. gross, and to pick what movie it's for. For example, this year, I wouldn't be able to decide between The Improper Exchange, since it'd be really helped by the big game audience, and Sir Thymes Time, since animated ads correlate well to the audience. SilverShark
I don´t think that it would change something, we´re not taking trailers and stuff into account for predictions.
ChD
I don't really see the logic in using this if, in general, the one who does the actuals ignores the marketing. It's just like releasing a movie that has received only a superbowl trailer... and that's it. This would work if we would put a marketing budget together with the Budget of the movie, or anything related to that (I suggested that we should add Low Marketing ($?M), Medium Marketing ($?) and High Marketing ($?), the ? representing how much that would cost).
