I actually enjoyed it. I mean, it's definitely not the best film of all time, but it feels newer than it is and has a pretty compelling story even knowing the end. By this I mean that I knew the ending of Usual Suspects and the whole time I was waiting for that reveal to happen. I knew the ending of this too, but instead, I got swept up in the story. Very good movie. A

It doesn't feel as dated as other movies of its time because many of the techniques Welles introduced are staples of contemporary moviemaking. So it feels "fresher" than it actually is.

Good god, this is so so good. It's absolutely mind-boggling mind-boggling that CK was released almost 80 years ago. 95/100
