The Last Starfighter (1984)

Greetings, Starfighter. You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan armada.

The one thing memorable are the CGI sequences, which were really really good for the period (compare to TRON). The story itself is rather stupid, a computer kid's wet dream come to life. If I had to rewatch this, I would fast-forward to the CGI scenes. Recommended only if you're interested in the history of CGI, otherwise watch Galaxy Quest once more.
