well, it's better than snow white...if only because the scenes spent on the cute animal antics meant less time on some vapid bimbo dreaming about the perfect dress for the perfect marriage for the perfect man. eugh. i don't know why people give such generic schlock a pass simply because it's more old-fashioned or whatever - stories have existed for a long time, and just being on a screen rather than a page is no excuse for shitting out your ass such a banal and thoughtless script that anyone who's ever read a thing could write it in ten minutes.

 

whatever the case, it's well executed and looks good. lol

After a decade of entertaining but somewhat forgettable films, Disney made a nice comeback. The Nine Old Men were starting to gel and Lady Tremaine is one of the more underrated villains. B+
