a beautiful film set in an indian rainforest. enormously expressive and ultimately very said and touching. could have done with a extra ten minutes scattered around various scenes to let things sit just a little longer - the editing was a mite enthusiastic.

Yeah, it's really famous, B. In fact, the Pather Panchali trilogy is probably high on a bunch of cinephiles' "Best Trilogies Ever" lists.

Baumer, I respect you a lot. But calling "Pather Panchali" shit is just ignorant as hell.

 

I know this isn't the kind of movie which normally finds its way in the RTM section, and I was surprised to see it here as well, but demeaning one of THE greatest Indian movies ever is just wrong.
