  3. To all the BOTers who played the prediction game for a 1-month Gold account, I'll tabulate everything late tonight or early tomorrow after actuals are in. If anyone's peeked at the closest already... well, I'm still gonna do it, and no spoilers please!
  4. I actually feel Haunted Mansion is minimally impacted by Barbie, relative to Marvels. The former plays more strongly to families with only some crossover for Barbie's target female crowd (which would have steamrolled The Marvels had it stayed in July). That said, I still think HM should have moved. Not because of Barbie, but because of Turtles and the fact that HM theoretically would play just as well or better with a September/early October release, ala Goosebumps or Miss Peregrine.
  5. Spillover demand throughout the week wreaks havoc on "normal" increases and drops, especially in peak summer.
  6. Agreed. I've been soapboxing this issue since late last year when studios still had time to rearrange the summer and Q4 schedules. Disney (Marvels) was one of the few smart ones to avoid Barbenheimer before Barbenheimer was really a thing, though I'm sure that was not their only consideration.
  7. Not sure, smaller distributors sometimes don't on Saturday. I remember when A24 wasn't even very regular about it.
  8. New thread up. Please see first post as this is a work-in-progress that will have some of July's posts moved to the front of this topic so we can have Barbie and Oppenheimer's run front and center for the Google search crawlers.
  9. Switching to the new thread now. This will be a longer process than I hoped because, well, because I thought there was a split feature the forum software apparently no longer has... so we're going to do this the harder way. But new thread is up:
  10. Share your final 2nd weekend predictions by 11:59pm ET tonight for Barbie and Oppy. Closest on each gets a free month of Gold tier (no ads, more likes, etc.). Must quote this post so it's easy to keep track!
  11. Don't wanna dig through pages, but who is reporting a flat Wednesday for Barbie?
  12. That was an old range from before Monday numbers were out, should be 75-90.
  13. Those Barbie numbers were published prematurely and are supposed to be higher (though maybe not as crazy high as some expect from the backloaded Monday result). Should be up soon. Also, we aren't starting a new thread fresh but rather split from a previous point to help with SEO.
