Here's the deal, WHD is not an "in house production" of Sony. Sony only financed and distributed the movie, they didn't produce it like their other summer movies. The president of Film District which produced OHF is a formal Sony Pictures executive. This company has close ties to Sony.Sony distributes most of Film District movies for theatrical release and all of their DVD and Blu ray.Did Sony sabotage WHD because they would make more money off the OHF success?

Sony has fucked WHD again, just like they did in the USA.

WHD is a conventional action movie, these types of movie don't set the box office on fire, unless its a sequel.This is a good opening for a non sequel, non scifi action movie.WHD opened three time more admission than the rival OHF.

It's only in limited release in Israel. Will go wide next week. It's only in 10 markets not 25. Because the East African countries are consider one maket and that's also true for the West African countries.

80mill overseas is about what was expected, 3D movies in foreign markets are big. The gross is always inflated because of the cost of a ticket. The first movie was not 3D, so it's hard to say which movie did better.However, domestically the first movie did 54.7mill in 3 days, while the second movie did only 51.7mill in 4 1/2 days.Since this movie is crap I can see a 60% or more fall next weekend
