  1. I disagree. On our board, normally it's been a bloodbath the day after with people tearing apart the films. During Eclipse, I thought they'd go out and hunt David Slade down and wring him up (not me, personally, I enjoyed Eclipse). I saw more people flipping out and saying how bad the film was going to be before it came out than now. People were expecting it to be awful and were really worried about it. But today, there's some nitpicking here and there, but most people are very enthusiastic about the film.
  2. From what I'm seeing...it's better. The critics (and men) really liked Eclipse a lot. The fans were mixed on it.This one definitely has its "WTF" moments (and the fans acknowledge that because the book was so bizarre), but the fans think they got the romance right--and in the end, that's what matters with this series.
  3. Breaking Dawn Part I11 am, FridayAbout a third full, 90% female (easily)Trailers:The Hunger Games (strangely it was the teaser trailer, not the new one)Snow White and the Huntsman The Girl with the Dragon TattooThe Man on the LedgeWell, I could pretend to be cool and over it, but I really enjoyed the movie. For a Twilight fan, this is probably one of the best of the series, IMHO. Bill Condon pretty much gives the fans what they want. Plenty of romance, a lot of nice, light moments between Bella and Edward, and he really allows it to delve into the horrific elements of her pregnancy. The ending completely works and the hidden-in-the-credits scene with the Volturi totally sets up the next film. It's a fan's film, and it works on most of the levels they're trying to hit.B+
  4. Nikki Finke on the opening figures internationally. She spins, so you know...we'll have to compare to opening day for NM or Eclipse to get a feel:
  5. I have a portfolio that I was really into at one time, but after I crossed a billion I kind of stopped paying much attention to it. It was taking up a lot of my time. lol. I still pop in occasionally to buy some stocks and sell some stuff.I'd have to do some research to see what's out there that is worth it right now. I always used to buy movies really early (right after they were greenlit) and sold them about two months to six weeks before they hit the theaters unless I thought the movie was incredibly underpriced. It worked for me.
  6. I was surprised to find this on my Amazon rental list today. I haven't rented it yet, but it's already available in the PPV market.
  7. That's unfortunate. I was actually looking forward to Eddie hosting. It seems like one of the few good decisions Ratner made.
