  1. Another great weekend for Avengers in Poland. IW is already the biggest superhero movie based on comic books in my country (after 1989). It beats Suicide Squad in just 12 days (11 without previews)! :)

Sorry that all the titles are in polish, I couldn't find such a list with original titles.

If we consider also films before 1989 (dark times in Poland, but with much, much bigger admission every year :P) the biggest would be... Howard the Duck with over 3 million tickets sold. :D

EDIT: Okay, IW isn't #1 yet if we consider Men in Black as superhero movies (also based on comic books) - 839 708 admission. I can't find right now precise number for Howard, and there's no data about Superman I-IV movies in Poland. Dark times, as I said. :P

I hope titanic could retain its position here....Just too much unnecessary backlash on this all time epic.

I've watched hundred of films based on the recommendation from academy, IMDB, director picks and RT. Titanic is definitely a great film by any standard.

The only reason I can tell about its hatred is the movie gone too successful especially commercially and way too female-centric.

I hope BOT could restore what titanic supposedly deserved in the movie's history.

    Titanic, for your consideration.

I totally forgot (or am I? I don't remember) to give this - one of my favorite movies of all time. FYC

I can watch this every day, every week, every month, every year. :)

That's not "super optimistic"! With great legs (over x3) this might go over $800 mln domestic. But Your China numbers seems unrealistic.

    My current prediction:

DOM: $715 mln (but I think even $805 mln is possible)

    OS: $1,585 mld

    WW: $2,3 mld

    :)

  4. Infinity War did absolutely great opening in Poland.

271 279 admission during the weekend and 387 612 since Wednesday (5 days)! Till now, the biggest opening for superhero movies were:

    1. Age of Ultron - 213 938 (697 489 all tickets sold)

    2. Deadpool - 206 096 (759 083 all tickets sold)

    3. Iron Man 3 - 201 733 (611 850 all tickets sold)

    4. Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 - 191 309 (574 920 all tickets sold)

    5. Suicide Squad - 171 512 (773 920 all tickets sold)

Avengers will easily beat Suicide Squad's record and maybe will broke 1 mln in tickets sold!

SW9 won't increase form TLJ, no chance. No Luke, no Han, no Laia, it will be 5th movie in only 4 years, and EVIII has very mixed reception. I wouldn't be surprised if it drops as JL after BvS did.

Avengers 4 will be bigger OS and WW, maybe DOM as well.

Only 4 movie stay in Top 15th before TA

Five: Avatar, Titanic, The Dark Knight and two Star Wars episodes (I & IV).

I would say, it's more like "after Avatar and 3D the box office changed". Without 3D with Avatar we probably would have to wait until 2015 (The Force Awakens) to see any movie to beat original Titanic's $600,8 mln DOM.

    What else?

If not IW this April, than "Avatar 2" is the last chance in this decade. But I don't think it's going to have so massive opening weekend. More like twice as much as the first Avatar did in the first three days (maybe $160 mln). But its legs - oh dear. If there is any film with chances to beat TFA domestic record ($936,7 mln) it is Avatar sequel.
