Any comparisons to SM3/Avengers/IA4 etc.ArgentinaOD:37,699 ADMISSIONS
-
All his films are great and have a lot of heart. Difficult to compare them as they are so diverse. Lupin III was the 1st one I saw and it was really entertaining and top notch. My Neighbour Totoro,Porco Rosso, Princess Moononoke, Spirited Away and Howls moving castle also deserve special mention.

22M total after a 5M weekend. Can it even make 50M. I know movies are leggy plus summer weekdays would kick in but it has competition? SM3 was also not so leggy after a huge start.
-
Thank you Baumer. That is good enough for me. I know for sure this is not like Saun Salisbury days back in BOM.You guys have no idea why people get banned. All you see is what happens here, you don't know what goes on in areas you don't have access too.I'm not going to say much about Jack except this:He was given at least three opportunities to tone it downHe was defended by some of the modsAnd then there was something that can't be discussedPeople don't get banned on a whim, it is discussed and voted on.Don't pity Jack or anyone who gets banned. None of us want to ban anyone, it's the least favourite part of being a mod.
-
hmm. Is it a policy to ban immediately even for one infraction. How about Mod just deleting the post and give him a warning. Repeated infractions should lead to ban. Anyway its upto Shawn/Admin/Mods.He had had enough and lost control.....
-
You are a MOD and should tell us how to do that. How do you do that?
-
Thank you Shawn. This is much better.Sorry guys, we're working on the navigation system up top. Please bear with us.
-
what happened. I thought he was entertaining unlike BKB. What did he do so bad to be banned.iJack gonna predict nothing.... cuz some people irritated him to the point that he lost his cool and got temp banned....

YEP. Dont like it. PLEASE ROLLBACK.Are the forums looking really weird for anyone else?

No offense but notfabio actually works at a big megaplex in LA area. So he is in perfect position to judge the audience for a movie and relate it to similar films. So its not about plain assumptions but reflection based on actual data.Notfabio doesn't know the ethnic breakdown for TASM yet. Notfabio is just making assumptions. Rather stupid assumptions, because suggesting Latinos for some reason refused to support a new SM movie is plain ridiculous.
-
That basically means ASM will have not as good an OW or legs as TF1. That is not surprising. So what does that mean for the legs?
Calling out that a movie is playing out weaker with a critical community is not being racist. This is not about grosses in LA countries but about Latinos in stateside. They are a major factor especially in Los Angeles and suburbs(I believe notfabio's usual megaplex is in that area). Is not this comment racist? lolIt is also factually wrong. Just compare TF and SM grosses in Latin American countries.
-
Notfabio made an interesting comment comparing ASM to TF1.
tfrm had an especially larger than usual latino audience that may be weaker with spid4 {nm}

What's new. RTH has nailed it as usual.

I expected better number for Brave as well. This year ID4 numbers are just MEH.

ERC has posted 23M wed number.
Exhibitor Relations â€
@ERCboxofficeSPIDER-MAN scored $23M on the 4th, bringing its 2-day total to nearly $59M.
-
how about you and me for a start :-) Majority saw 250M or lower(including the great Xiayun). So 250-260m is a solid run for a REBOOT. Based on how it does today it could even go 280M+.Better than expected according to whom?
-
I think discount tuesday boost these days are bigger than usual. That translates to worse than normal drop on wednesday. May be ASM's OD was inflated big time because of tuesday opening. It will drop hard on wednesday and thursday bigger than usual. But recover better over the weekend.Still ASM is doing better than expected at this point. Its lock for 250M+ for sure.
-
I would not call it a flop. More like a disappointment. I dont see 2nd week estimate from cine-director? Is it still staying at the top as ASM is projected to open at 1.3M?
-
If I am not wrong that is a HUGE drop from SM3. Plus let us hope cine-director did not overestimate like last week(that was a huge overestimation). Its 2PM number looks awful. With UK/France/Germany numbers I am thinking ASM will drop 50-100M in just europe/Australia(outside Russia). Russia/Asia will probably add 150/200M compared to SM3. So OS total looks like finishing in the 600-700M range.
-
Dont know what SM3's 2PM numbers for Paris were but it broke the OD record at that time(it did open on the labor day).
Opening day record in France: 804' date='345 tix beating previous record holder TAXI 2 (801,922 tix)[/quote'] -
What were SM3 numbers. I believe IA4 did much better last week.Paris,14h:3942 admissions(21 screens)Very, very low
-
AMAZING FOR THE SPIDEY. It shows the popularity of the franchise. But its legs should be interesting to watch. A- is solid but not spectacular. I think we should be able to predict its run by the time we have thursday numbers.
-
10% is too much for OW. Maybe that happens during 5th or 6th weekend. OW is in 6 to 7%. Baumer always inflates canada numbers. That's it? 10 percent? I thought it would surely contribute more. What's Canada's population?
