  1. It could work. It doesn't seem like Mysterio is coming back anyways. But it does seem like Pascal is the guy till further notice.
  2. True but it's not like he hasn't done that already. He has two ongoing TV shows that he is, ostensibly, the lead of (though admittedly he doesn't need to be on set for Mando every single day)
  3. Oh yeah every year anyone who was involved in a war gets moved up. Unless they got suspended in time or are immortal in some way.
  4. I hope it's him because it means the worst era of fancasts is over. Because dear God it was bad. Years, literally years, of Handsome Man, Random attractive blondes, teen hearthrob, and First Jewish Actor I Can Think Of Edit: oh and also Ben got Random Tall Muscular Man. No, Terry Crews and Dwayne Johnson would not be good picks for Ben Grimm
  5. It mentions her as part of the "villain team", which means it's the Authority. It's What's So Funny About Truth Justice and the American Way but with the actual Authority instead of a parody of them.
  6. It was already a two parter to begin with. I don't know why you keep acting like it wasn't? They were originally supposed to release the same year. Kang is the villain of both movies.
  7. Maybe? But Marvel Studios didn't produce Spider-Verse (even though there are MCU references, but Sony can do those without Marvels involvement like they did with Venom 2s ending) I feel if Marvel Studios was more directly involved they'd have that all over the promo.
  8. Well, at least we know Wonder Man's still happening, and it's under Spotlight, but this is a point in favor of the Kang shakeup rumors. It sounds amicable though, more like Watts leaving FF than say Wright leaving Ant-Man
  9. I mean the Marvel Studios one isn't promoting it, and their logo isn't in the title or credits. It's just the standard "in association with Marvel" one
  10. I stand corrected, they also did it for Across the Spider-Verse (even back when it was called Part 1), so if it's part of a Sony deal it's not a new one.
  11. I mean it's set in the 1920s. I don't really think setting it in a different universe really affects anything at all. I like the decision Marvels made to try new things with release schedules. Echos all at once, What If is daily, makes sense to try to help out shows that aren't a guaranteed big debut like Loki for instance.
  12. Wasn't that supposed to be the Abrams one? I think they moved on from the Hemsworth angle by the time Clarkson was on. Weirdly this trailers being promoted by the main Marvel Entertainment accounts, Twitter/YouTube etc, which I believe the previous Sony movies were not. Maybe part of their new deal?
  13. Uncle Ben is literally in the movie, it's kind of hard to say it's tangentially related.
  14. It's surprising that of the Spidey spinoffs this one is the cheapest and plays into the Spider-Man connections the least despite (aside from the very end of Venom 2) it's the one most related to Spider-Man
  15. They really aren't though, the time travel aspect and him being from the future and everyone being a Spider-Person is all featured. Simms design alone indicates that, when it's visible anyways. But the question is if your villain is literally dressed in a damn Spider-Man outfit why hide the actual Spider-Man stuff?
  16. Maybe but the way the costume is designed, plus how it's lit, makes all the spider themed stuff almost impossible to see. In most shots he looks like the Far From Home black suit. I'm also pretty sure the Spider-Women suits are only in scenes from the future (which, had I seen images of them outside the trailer, I would have assumed to be AI generated) and not the rest of the movie.
  17. The premise actually sounds fun, but the writing team gives me absolutely zero confidence in the execution.
  18. I don't see how the hell they can, it's a movie about fucking time travel. And since Simms motivation is literally directly tied to Spider-Man it'll be really hard to avoid. I also don't see why Sony would avoid it when...the Sony films have had incredible success with the Multiverse Spider-People concept Also Simms costume...is ugly? I guess they didn't want the red highlighted too much to distract from miles but at a glance you might not even notice it's supposed to look like Spider-Man. (Especially that shot in the diner)
  19. Venom looked different from this. This looks like substantially lower budget. I'm also surprised at how there's...almost no inference of this being Spider-Man related other than Simms costume looking like him. Didn't even mention that Adam Scott's character is Uncle Ben.
