  1. Exactly!! 1. This is great psychological thinking!! 2. Gongrats for having that - and welcome to the boards! 3. Once again: the critics are vultures, slanderers, instigators and flat out liars - and should never EVER be trusted! 4. On TOP of that: any sane person should always think for himself and shouldn't allow any influence. Be like that people, don't be herd cattle, like you've shown in this thread.
  2. Yes, I long before said Aladdin is an exceptional movie and will be a TREMENDOUS crowd-pleaser. This is not the important part. The only other such movie is Alita. Same ratings. The real question is: how and why the mercenary imbeciles known as "critics" at RT tried to kill these two exceptional movies? People should never forget - and never from now on listen to critics. Another, smaller observation is that the new "verified" vote at RT is bigger than the old one. That clearly shows Aladdin is review-bombed by vengeful idiots who haven't even seen it. We have seen posts by dozens of such individuals in this very thread.
  3. Because they are. Half of them are mercenaries - the other half: psychopaths. Nowadays everyone can have a blog and even a site - and it seems RT welcomes everyone, even the lowliest.
  4. LOL, 200m - most posts in this thread were saying it will be lucky to have 60m OW and 130m Dom. total.
  5. Who said there was no marketing?? https://img-9gag-fun.9cache.com/photo/aLg3GAW_460svvp9.webm Disney poured 100s of millions in this. ^^ PS: Click it - or miss big.
  6. Preach! You heard it from the Shay first!! (on previous page) PS: Though, they'll have to write a new script. Scripts of DTV sequels are always abysmal.
  7. I don't believe this. He is pretty bad - and it shows. BUT - he is quite perfectly cast for the NEW Jafar they have here, that has been changed significantly. So my answer is: not miscast, so being bad doesn't show too much.
  8. But blue is such a non-threatening colour... If someone should look dangerous - that is Jafar. He looks exactly like a real Arab cutthroat would. (As I said - they changed the character, and he looks the part.)
  9. So, what do we have till now: A spectacular Shay win! All haters are cowering in fear. Aladdin is already on its way to becoming one of the biggest and certainly most loved movies of the year. Nearby smallish lizards will be trampled. A certain Guy is laughing all the way to the bank. With an amazing 130m OW and inevitable Christmas legs, this movie will deliver big time... What we have from now on: We are currently entering the Sequel Gambit. How much will the first movie need to make for the Disney suits to greenlight The Return of Jafar? Mind you, they are ever-greedy and trigger-happy...
  10. What? No, half of them are just officially idiots. Have you tried reading their "reviews"? They can barely form a coherent thought - and, much worse, they are full of all kinds of inferiority complexes so they snidely attack the movies to feel better about themselves. With big movies, like most Marvel, the little slimy cowards don't dare oppose the others and are forced to stay in the pack. Also - the herd mentality is very strong with such basic creatures. But any sign of blood in the water (and often they try to create these "controversies" on purpose, out of nothing) - and the keyboard Nazis are out in full force, to prove that they are better than something else, and that they matter, and that they can hurt a movie. All a bunch of delusional lies - but hey, these are why they do what they do in the first place, so they can't just change that. So yeah, they ARE influenced. But those subject to influence can not be called critics.
  11. You are totally out of your mind, man. Like: maniacal. Here, let me try to explain it to you: 1. Suppose your life ends in some 50 years. 2. And then you find out you may be reborn and live another life - you just need to wish for it. 3. But then your stubborn ass says: LOL, no, I don't want another life if it is not exactly the same or better than the one I already had. 4. And so you stay dead - and it is all over. Eternal nothingness. 5. While all the other, sane people get to live again and have fun again. That is your case.
  12. LOL, you can only read such "reactions" here... while word on the street is PHENOMENAL!! I read thousands of comments: everyone who's already seen this says it is just as good or BETTER than the animated one!! Who expected that??!! So, whatever OW this gets - legs are gonna be crazy and the final success imminent!
  13. I saw it Thursday night, on Previews - which I had never done, because they are like TWICE more expensive than a Friday showing in my country. The movie was so good that I had to wait till Friday night to see it a second time before commenting... but I'm still at a loss for words. I laughed a lot (mainly during the first half), I cried a lot (mainly during the second half) - and not a single second was wasted. The movie feels 1 hour long - not 2 hours. I was right for everything I kept saying all these months: 1. The songs alone are worth seeing this 8 to 10 times. One time for each song, including the credits and the dance pieces. (I saw Alita 6 times, but it had no songs). 2. Aladdin and Alita are the two special movies of this great year. Add Ep. 9 for a solid TOP 3 - and all the others are way below. Endgame is not even in the first dozen. 3. Fuck the critics. Both of these movies will have EXCEPTIONAL word of mouth and the unconditional love of everyone who saw them. Any critic that goes against them is acting suicidal. I was wrong only for one thing, so I did good to wait to see the movie first: 1. Turns out dude playing Jafar is neither ugly, nor gay, nor exceptionally untalented. Well, he looks, probably, a bit of all three - but he is so pathetic he feels almost endearing. So I liked him, poor soul. And another thing I was right for saying a couple of times: 4. They DID change Jafar's character CONSIDERABLY - to the point of being a totally different person to old Jafar. So the actor that was a terrible match for the old Jafar - is quite appropriate for the slimy careeristic worm we get here. Our Guy did no wrong! The movie is all kinds of brave and innovative - and fails in none! If you love your life - go see it on a BIG screen. Thank the Shay later.
  14. You guys are legally IMPAIRED! You should be given a state pension to reimburse you for the fact that you are ILL and can not enjoy one of the most enjoyable things in this world: feel-good movies. Maybe that will make you visit this forum LESS often, to vent your frustration-fueled HATE. Because that is what you do here, don't you - especially visible in good movies threads like this and Alita's. God knows I understand you. If I was sick and disabled - which I AM, physically!, since an incurable illness started destroying my body three years ago - I would probably bitch and moan and hate on the things I can not have too. But I still feel sorry for you.
  15. One such actual review is worth more than the million posts of essential hate that have flooded and strangled this thread since its inception.
  16. Shay's TOP TWO most hated sub-genres are, in no particular order: 1. Superheroes 2. Mindless gore & jumpscares Guess what the chance is of seeing this. Or New Mutants - but fortunately they destroyed that movie before seeing the light of day.
  17. Reading all those reactions quotes: "...Blah-blah, I was so stupid to think this movie will suck..." Yeah, pal, you're basic as fuck. People are generally so stupid and blind... While the Shay never has ANY doubts!! And even if you don't have his instincts, experience and knowledge - you can still believe! And if you don't believe in a movie - you don't deserve it; f*ck off.
  18. And this is the ONLY song of the old movie that will NOT be in the new one. LOL (New Jafar sucks, first reviews confirm this.)
  19. Where is the new OST?? I see only fake ones on YouTube... PS: Found a couple of the songs... Good bye sleep! I was just going to bed...
  20. Oh, you are talking REAL people? Like real-real, maybe even yourself? No, I might have to disappoint you here. We're talking strictly fictional characters and what their creators might have planned for them. And, BTW, the Shay is bisexual - so snap out of your victim narrative, please. LOL
  21. Really? Well, it seems I haven't tried hard enough then... Soo - if Disney says Le Fou (BATB) may be gay - it's OK. Saying Jafar may be gay - it's suddenly a terrible offense? Oh, max, my boy - it was such a boring place here before you showed up...
