Well, the Shay, for one, is quite unimpressed with Marvel. They be turning into quite the wankers, lately. PS: That said, their immediate next set of movies, after they finally announced them (wankers!), makes it hard for me to hate them - because they look great. Only the Shay's favorite characters - and no overt sex/race washing (for now). Might be way worse. (And will be - Phase 5 could be nightmare.)

Solo was never a problem. It was gonna do OK, though it had a very limited, risky and weird high concept. It is an innocent victim of TLJ, mostly. TLJ, on the other hand, is a GIGANTIC, kamikaze problem that can and will destroy even the mightiest franchise ever. Only one man can stop it from doing so - and fortunately they called him and brought him back as soon as TLJ bombed.

Anyway, for anyone who has interest in BO: bet on Ep. 9. You have no idea what you're in for. Don't bet on spin-offs of Latino soap operas. They will disappoint.

Episode 9 wins this pathetic year by a landslide. Count only the money it makes after January 1st 2020 - and it will be miles ahead of all others, both Dom. and WW. Distant second is Mulan. All others are pure trash.

You mean, like ALL Marvel and DC films? This at least has universally great actors hamming it up to 9000 (3000 is such a loser number, no wonder Tony Stark died), AND is much more believable than superheroes. So get ready to get wrecked.

I've seen it 10+ times already, lost count long ago. Still keep watching it, because they will keep it in cinemas like forever. Best feel good movie to tap your toes to, ever! Finally the dumb Hollywood decided to make a Bollywood influenced movie (this), an Arabian fantasy movie (this, after Prince of Persia), and a Chinese period movie (Mulan 2020). The Shay has been yelling to them to do so for DECADES!! Practically slapped them in their face with the billions they could make this way! Nada. The dumb amateurs kept making their USA-centric filler - and would have kept on doing so till their bankruptcy! Fortune sometimes favours the dumb though, so a couple of their preexisting big properties (the 90ies classic animations) happened to be in diverse period settings. That was the only reason and the only way for these idiots to make something bold and good. Hopefully, now that not only the Shay prophet, but also they themselves have seen the said billions - they will keep on making Bollywood, Arabian, Chinese and Japanese* based big blockbusters. * But NO Godzilla! Never!! MANGA - big yes!! Godzilla - big NO!! That is some fucked up brony shit no serious person would watch.

Yeah, NO. You're talking about Mary Poppins, Dumbo and other such shit from centuries ago, that nobody ever wanted to see. Dump season is over @ Disney now. PS: Even their quality is up, Spidey 2 being the first reasonably good Marvel movie for the year - after the dumpster fires of Captain Marvel and Avengers 3.5. PS2: Also, such a spread (30/100) means phenomenal word of mouth, and therefore quality. So are you saying the movie will actually be very good?

First was a surprise hit - but no way this goes down, as always happens. This is too good - and will surprise on its own. The Shay has spoken.

Finally saw it. Wasn't that bad after all. Probably better than the previous three, don't remember much from them. As I've always said, Pixar CAN write intelligent scripts. What they sorely need is original, exotic settings. Because animation, more than anything, is supposed to be great visually. PS: So, it still doesn't deserve the 330m Dom it's getting. The 690m WW total - ehh, maybe, whatever. Most people here were saying the same number (600m+) for Domestic only anyway, lol.

Bingo. Nothing noble here. Let's see though if they made the right decision with this movie. The BO will show.

That's exactly what a real crowd-pleaser AND a good movie does.

Can't wait for this to fail - like everything else from this director. I'll stick to the brilliant new Kenneth Branagh Poirot series, thank you very much - they are everything this is NOT.

Nice story! I only feel sorry they never allowed legally betting on B.O. (a Hollywood exchange of sorts). Then some of us would get even richer. (And most of the common folk - like this poor Endgame dude - even poorer.)
