Sounds like you are being sarcastic here but this still feels like something you would genuinely say.

Yeah, valid for most of my posts here, ain't it. :)

I really for a moment thought this was in the line of Ghostbusters & Oceans12 - and that they are remaking The A-Team AND The Expendables with women next - but then I vaguely remembered the 2 Diaz/Liu movies 20 years ago.

Of course, I've never seen or heard of the Ch.An. "original", because the Shay:

    1. doesn't watch old movies

    2. has never in his long life watched TV

PS: This version here looks OK. Wasn't a big fan of any of the main women - but now I like them quite a lot (Aladdin really made Naomi a star and a princess!).

  2. Here:

    Aladdin >>> Episode 9 >>>> The Lion King >>>>>>> Frozen 2 >>>>>>>>>>> Maleficent 2 >>>>>>>>> Ad Astra >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Spiderman 7 >>>>>>>> Avengers 4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dark Phoenix >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dumbo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Captain Marvel >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Toy Story 18

They start getting bad from Spiderman downwards...

Geez, I can't take this seriously anymore. Go back to your own planet.

Oh, you REALLY want to go there? OK, here we go:

Dreamworks - the eternal rival, but finally emerged as the studio with better movies

WDAS - there's really not a comparison here, Disney Animation is infinitely better than Pixar, with tons of cult classics from all ages, especially the newest ones

Illumination - they have few movies, but most of them are really good visually, and original, and funny - so again, better than Pixar at all points

Ghibli - need I explain myself?

All better than Pixar! And here's some that are worse:

Blue Skies suck. First Ice Age & Rio are OK, but then it's garbage

Sony are REALLY bad, they have just one good animation, and it's Meatballs 1

Still Pixar loses: 2 to 4!

Is Toy Story 4 going to be the best Disney movie this year?

Maybe if you list the worst first...

It's even funnier  to see an Illumination studio fanboy accuse another studio's film of underperformind and being an unwanted sequel after what happened a couple of weeks ago to "Secret Live Of Pets".

You guys find Toy Story 4 failing all expectations by 30 to 50% funny? :) OK, I can get that. I may even join the fun.

Not a fanboy of Illumination though. Just stated that they are better at their game than Pixar. Which is faint praise. Almost anyone is better than Pixar at making animation.

Pets2 is much weaker than Pets1, so it got what it deserved. Same is happening to Toy Story 4, no escape. And more of you should admit that - like the Shay just did.

This is the loneliness talking but... Anyone notice how thicc Bo Peep was in this one?

OK, now I'm further alienated by this movie, before even seeing it.

Uhhm, TS4 opened higher than TS3.

Yeah, no, maybe if it did open 10 tears ago - but it didn't, so it failed spectacularly to match any ADJUSTED numbers.

And it's only getting uglier from here, because this runt of a movie can not ever dream of the mutated legs of the then phenomenal TS3 run. No one ever wanted TS4. So yeah, it is falling WELL behind, even UNadjusted. The Shay club forsaw this.

  6. The unbelievable Shay Summer Streak (SSS) continues!!

Each and every movie that is not a Shay favourite either flops, bombs or disappoints. While Aladdin keeps making fools of all others, and everyone that attacked him. (That is the Shay revenge served cold for Prince of Persia a decade ago!!)

The latest scalp on the Shay's belt is a notably notorious one: a Pixar Transformers movie, overhyped and overpredicted to criminal levels by the despicable shills writing on the "official movie sites". (You should really stop reading/funding those, it's bad for you in more ways than one. Also, you should forget the word "tracking" - it is a very dangerous illusion they use to manipulate you into suffering.)

So, that movie fails completely - as predicted bu the Shay club Toy Story 4 UNDER Toy Story 3: something deemed impossible till Friday. And after its failed OW it will only get worse - stumbling on its little crooked tiny Toy legs, unloved and unneeded.

Take a word from the Shay and stop torturing yourselves: you want a smashingly good and successful movie like Aladdin - you wait for The Lion King. Simple. (And to think there are obsolete people here who even doubt The Lion King!! (lol, the torture that awaits them)

Didn’t make me cry as much as TS3. But my eyes did water. Pixar has this shit down to a science now. They snagged me 24 years ago and they have not lost me yet, which is why I’ve stood by them even when they’ve not been at their best.

That said, we still dodged a bullet with this one. We got really lucky, but please don’t spin the chamber again, Pixar.

That is the purest form of Stockholm syndrome the Shay has witnessed - and he's seen a lot. Google it. They have got you by the throat - and can do whatever their impure minds need to - and you LOVE them for it! Choke me harder, daddy! (What?)

I still. . . I still don't see why it needed to be made after Toy Story 3 ended perfectly and the ending is definitely overhyped.

Greed, girl. Pure, crystallized GREED. Pixar are the best at that, they specialize in greed.

From: "We will NEVER make a sequel, we'll only make original stories - because we believe in human creative values and, frankly, because we are THAT good, better than anyone else!"

To: "Shut the f*ck up nerd and pay me for the THIRTEENTH rotten sequel of the same old musty couple of movies we've done back in the 90ies!!"

That is UNDOUBTEDLY the worse moral collapse in modern Hollywood. And some shady dudes here "wonder why the Shay hates Pixar", lol...

I loved this. It's much better than Toy Story 3. Toy Story 3 was great but th story felt stale (literally a rehash of TS2) and the ending felt a little on the nose. This movie gets it right. The twist surprised me and the ending was beautiful without it being too emotionally manipulative. 9/10

    giphy.gif

PS: Though I like how you shit-talk TS3, it was indeed disgusting and mediocre at the same time. But I don't believe this can be much better. Will see in a week.

    Those articles are

    so astonishingly stupid and basic.

You could write 10 of those on any movie.

The narrative "movie with bad reviews and bad Box office had a trouble production" is

    so astonishingly stupid and basic.

    Exactly.

This is because many basic people read, quote and eat up such garbage - including and mostly here on these forums. 😕

Lol, I just realised Frozen 2 could be the first WDAS film I'm watching in cinemas. They were either before my time or I just wasn't interested at all to watch them (the closest I got to was Moana which I didn't watch in cinemas for some unknown reason).

Wow, so you are a noob then.

Make sure to watch them from now on, they are infinitely better than most Pixar, so you'll gain a needed perspective.

The shtick is old, guy and lost whatever shock and entertainment value it had a long time ago.

You really have to try harder.

I was convinced you were talking about Pixar's sequels here.

Yeah, they are terrible, nobody wants or needs them; they are destroying the name, legacy and spirit of the very company that makes them, and yet - lo, they keep emerging and cluttering the cine-scape with useless junk.

Why?? Money I guess. But that would make Pixar the greediest b!tches out there.

Just please, be finished with this, Pixar-mafia!! Go back to making only original movies, at least they have some chance of being good.

  12. You think Dory and Incredibles2 were bad/rehashes??!!

    AAAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAGAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Wait till you see THIS!! This is a rehash, of the rehash, of the rehash - made by the mother of all rehashes, Pixar. There is no conceivable way it can turn good/original.

But, if for some weird reason you want more of the same (as in good old 1995) - then, yeah, you'll get it.

I agree with you in some respects on critics. Critics didn't think too highly of the new Aladdin or Alita (according to Rotten Tomatoes at least) but I adored both movies.

I'm curious though, what exactly do you hate about the Toy Story franchise?

P.S. Really I was just joking around since that's a quote from the first movie and this is a TS4 thread.

Yeah, no problem, was joking too, using wordplay.

And you mentioning Alita and Aladdin like that is melting my heart anyway. :)

About TS, I'll try to explain. I'm not joking, I really don't like it. My main point are the visuals - or the total lack of such. This is easily explainable. First TS was designed to be the first? full 3D animated movie. So they had to find the simplest, dumbest, easily filmable protagonists. That's why they chose dolls.

That was fine for 95 - but it is totally unacceptable now. We can see real wonders, whole new worlds - watching lifeless remnants from the dawn of CGI centuries ago is such a stupid waste.

Also, I never had favourite toys. This is such a loser thing to do. I had favourite BOOKS when I was as young as two or three years old and read them myself. Toys are just lifeless objects, usually ugly.

Pixar can write intelligent scripts, but they are often wasted on extremely plain and boring stories.*** And they are still nothing too special - I can write such scripts and dialogue in my lunch break. They are not enough to make me like a lackluster movie.

Pixar do not understand the inherent beauty and infinite possibilities of animation. Most of their movies are really pedestrian looking with not a single thing that stands out visually or aurally. While ALL their competitors do stunning things with visuals AND music.

And did I mention how overhyped Pixar are? If anything kills the Shay boner for art - that's overhype by the masses, Fast&Furious style.

One last important thing. Most of you here saw their first movies as kids. So you were imprinted into liking them. I saw them as an adult. Nor impressed.

*** I love Brave, Coco and Ratatouille. (Maybe Monsters Inc). All their other movies are Americocentric, so they are getting repetitive and repulsive for me.

To quote Buzz: "You are a sad, strange little man, and you have my pity."

Also the movie isn't even out yet, how can you say you hate it?

    Hmmm, let me see:

    1. I hate Toy Story 1.

    2. I hate Toy Story 2.

    3. I hate Toy Story 3.

    4. I hate Toy Story as a whole.

    5. I hate sequels - and especially long delayed ones.

    6. I hate the critics and never trust them.

    7. I especially hate the critics who lie through their teeth to make every Pixar movie look Fresh.

    8. I also hate Pixar.

    9. Most of all, I hate Pixar sequels!

What are the chances I like this one, you say?

I am still going to see it - but only once. And half of the time I am going to be mad at how ugly and boring it is. While quality and original animated movies like most Dreamworks, WDAS and Illumination I watch at least three times or even FIVE+ times each! (Some I have seen TEN times - always in cinemas, never on TV.)

PS: Also, you haven't seen me, how can you say I am "a sad, strange little man"?
