When you guys say a $100m 2nd wknd is now less likely, are you basing it off of historical early May daily performances or specific movies (SM1,Thor) which are the same thing in those cases since they came out in early May? How are you making that determination?

Avengers will likely have over $270-$275m going into Friday. Almost $400million in two weeks.

If Avengers doesn't beat Avatar, Avatar's reign will last for the foreseeable future. I don't see Avatar 2/3 beating Avatar right now because the novelty of the Avatar world, 3D technology, etc isn't there for the sequels. Avengers 2/3 will lack the hype and buildup that we saw in IM, Hulk, IM2, Thor, and CA2. Sure they may do the same with IM3, Thor2, and CA2 but it will be more familiar. I hope I'm wrong. I love seeing records go down but I see Avatar's record holding through this decade if Avengers can't do it.Oh!!Wasn't Avatar supposed to be a " loooooog way off "?A non-directed-by-Cameron movie as 1st Domestic?Wasn't this the statu quo...on the last century?lol

Not at all. If I had time I would tackle the Silmarillon. His universe is so rich and interesting. I wasnt bored at all reading the 4 Rings books. I have not read his other works set in the LOTR universe.

The Fantastic Four franchise is getting rebooted. Maybe tie that in with the Avengers sequel. With 10 superheroes, that might be a bit much.

How do you ascertain that? Do you guys have Excel spreadsheets with macros comparing past movies with current ones? OrMaybe its as simple as taking sm3's dom/ow and extrapolating out for TA. Maybe its just as simpleI'd say 95/5.If it follows SM3 from here, it will finish with 550M. Can't really see it going much lower than that.

Hulk said something after beating up Loki? I was laughing so hard, I couldn't tell. LolTwice now since I've seen this movie, when they got to the part where HULK calls LOKI a PUNY GOD, the audience was laughing so hard from the beatdown, that we missed the line..

I picked Renner (RDJ close behind). I heard that they're grooming him to take over for Cruise in the MI franchise...and you have the Bourne movies. I just see Renner in more big budget movies than RDJ. Hemsworth is definitely in the mix as well.

I'm predicting a 5-6.5% drop. Also, many colleges and highschools should be wrapping up next week.
