    Anything SW makes this weekend is great.

    With RTH's Saturday, even with a 20% drop on Sunday, this makes 150.  These numbers are astronomical.

    But 155+ gives it at least the 10 spot in top weekends :P.

    edit: actually 153+. Was thinking THG did 154.

    28m and Avatar's weekend holds give it:

    Fri: 58m

    Sat: 71m :blink::blink::blink:

    Sun: 61m

    190m weekend (I then buy 60,000 IMAX 3D tickets to make sure it scores an extra 1m and beats AoU's OW)

    I have a hard enough time just processing this movies 2nd weekend potentially passing Iron Man 3. To even consider AoU I just...I finally know what the kids mean when they can't even, because seriously, i just can't even.

    yes but one big note here, Ultron was really bad. If Episode VII will be better in quality its gonna be massive.

    The Empire Strikes Back is widely considered to be not only the best Star Wars movie, but one of the best movies of all time. It still decreased massively from A New Hope.

    Most theaters in the US don't have reserved seating yet, though it's becoming increasingly common in the cities and for premium theaters.

    That is the weirdest fucking thing ever to me since every theater chain here has reserved sitting. Even the shitty ones!

    I live in LA county and we didn't have reserve seating in my area till sometime between Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy, and it was only just at one theater (may have only been at one screen, too.) It's available at more, now, but still not the norm.

    The reason it fell yesterday and has a chance to go up today is because usually films go up on discount Tuesday because there is room to go up.  But with TFAS, every day is behaving like a Friday, people are seeing it every day so there is no uptick in attendance on Tuesday because it's already selling out every day like it was a Friday.  So when you offer cheaper tickets, even though you are selling the same amount as Monday, the gross comes in less because the tickets aren't as expensive.  Wednesday's numbers seems to support that theory somewhat.

    Just a theory.

    Probably on the money.
