162 million would put it at #7 of all time biggest weekends.
I'd be happy with $152,535,748.

I'm happily staying mere mortal then. That's definitely way better then trying to comprehend it and possibly end up dying from embarrassment.
And I say that as someone who actually found Deadpool's antics generally funny.
But well, your cup of tea, my cup of tea.
Hmm, apparently I wasn't over the top enough, seems like you took me seriously.

I saw that one. Oh boy, it was painful.
Something is better off on the comics pages, or pop up once in a while internet meme, or that one snarky Tumblr post. Deadpool is definitely one of that something.
But a whole movie of it? I already got secondhand embarrassment from some of the jokes in that trailers, I can't imagine a whole movie full of it. I just can't.
It's simply too glorious for some mere mortals to fully comprehend.

Hope this leads to an Ice Pirates reboot.

By Christmas, all these records will be broken.
What's Holiday Monday record?

Ren seemed like an underling because he was. Snoke seems to be the top dog, at least for now. I'm as interested in seeing Ren's journey just as much as I am seeing Rey's and Finn's.

Is it just me, it does anyone else kinda want to see a film that takes place in between ROTJ and TFA (that actually has to do with stuff leading up to TFA). Or, if not a film, maybe a trilogy of canon novels.
I think there are books and comics that do that already, so we probably won't get films. At least not for a while.

It's worth it if you know what your plans are. I certainly don't always know when I'm gonna go to a movie with someone hour out though. And in those cases it kinda wrecks being able to go on a whim. On weekend or busier times at least.
It's still good. Stuff like Star Wars selling out showings weeks or months in advance isn't the norm. But honestly, if you don't believe me that standing in line like that sucks, just show up to your next reserved seating show 2 hours early and just stand there. Then do it a few more times. Gets old real fast.

The only problem with reserved seating for everything is it kind of eliminates being able to go to a movie on a whim during busy times. I mean, even if the theater's packed there's always the chance you can show up close to start and maybe luck into getting a seat. The theater I have that is all reserved tends to be all booked several hours out on busy days or for a big movie. There's no spur of the moment moviegoing.
As someone who lives somewhere that just started getting reserved seating within the last year or so, trust me, it's worth it. It was so awesome when I didn't have to show up to GoTG an hour or two early to not get shitty seats.

Actually, with JJ talking about it, sounds more like they just wanted "familiar" voices to give you the sense the Force was connecting with her. So I don't think the voices alone are evidence of paternity.
Yoda is the baby daddy and I won't hear anything to the contrary.

Reserved seating is the best. Standing in line for hours is never not a drag.

AVATAR managed to get one so it wouldn't be that far-fetched.
Don't get me wrong, I hope it does. If that happens, and if Stallone gets a Supporting Actor nod, I might actually watch the Oscars for the first time in forever.

The re-release in 2010 didn't do anything.
It didn't have Smell-O-Vision.

If this does pass Avatar, I hope it does so by a significant enough amount that Cameron can't rerelease Avatar in Smell-O-Vision and retake the top spot. Still kinda bummed that the 3D rerelease of Titanic kept Avengers from overtaking it.

I dunno, a Best Picture nom feels unlikely. It'll get technical noms for sure, but I don't see any others. If it does get a Best Pic nom, Fury Road better get one, too.

I don't think TFA is gonna give a new respect for the prequels. If anything, going by how often I hear Ren as "Anakin done right," I'd say it would lower them if it were possible.
edit: It could get even worse still if the rumors about Christensen being in VIII are true. Even if it's just a small role, seeing him in a Star Wars film with a director who gives a crap about actor performances aren't going to do the prequels any favors.

Vader didn't know Luke was his kid, or at least wasn't 100% sure, till the Emperor straight up told Vader that Luke was the son of Skywalker.

Plus Leia was like the only female character Vader ever interacted with, so he probably just pieced it together.

Jurassic World is Jesus. Star Wars is bigger and better than Jesus. Avengers is meh. Avatar is crap.
So Star Wars is The Beatles.

Yeah, 40 years from now Star Wars Episode X: The Force Embiggens will retake the OW crown that Jurassic Galaxy earned 6 months prior.

If there's one thing I like about a new movie setting records, it's all the butthurt it brings out of fans of previous record holders.
