Generator Rex?Didn't that come out like two years ago?
When you're a kid, 2 years ago can seem like forever.

If they do another Avatar movie, they should go with Korra.
They should also keep M. Night as far away from it as possible.

Larry Bird must have been black under a disguise then.
Bird wasn't exactly a high fly act.

As soon as Sinister Six bombs all of that will be cancelled.
One can only hope.

Hollywood does have tunnel visions guys. If something is successful they try and copy and mimic it to death.
It's amusing how much they usually pick out the wrong thing and use it to death. BWAAAM!

I thought your country hated superheroes?
Probably helps that the movie is far more space opera than superhero movie.

Just because it looks like such a bad movie doesn't mean Kids wouldn't flock to it.
Yeah, kids aren't exactly a discerning audience.

Except that Bay didn't direct this. People are just morons.
It's doing good, so he'll get the credit. If it did bad, it would all be on Liebesman.
Speaking of which, did Nolan get the credit for MoS or no?

I don't watch any of his films in theaters. I don't know about anybody else.
I haven't since the first Transformers.

A sub 50% drop would be amazing! Gogo GoTG.Why couldn't this have happened with DOFP? I remember the early second Friday report for it said it could do 15m and then it ended up at 9.5m... Sad times.
DOFP is like the 6th X-Men film starring Hugh Jackman, coming off a couple notable X-stinkers. It was bound to be a bit more front loaded. These Guardians numbers are also rather early, though, so it could end up being quite a bit lower as well.

Those GOTG numbers seem too good to be true. A sub 50% drop against that kind of direct competition? That would be bananas.

That movie is a risky bet and wouldn't save the summer

Well, looks like August is owning July
I blame Jupiter Ascending's move to February. Tatumwolf would've saved the summer.

Looks like I'll be seeing Guardians again this weekend. My aunt asked me to go, I think because Saldana is in it and my aunt is a bit of a trekkie. That'll make it my 4th viewing, and the only movie I've seen more than that in theaters is Avengers.

Some of you really need to move on. It's getting old.
It would only be old if they didnt keep doing it.

I think more people reacted strongly to the Transformers 4 fudging because while all other sources claimed it was a $98 million OW, Paramount's lone $100 million number became official.
I think as long as they didn't make an extra $2 million from nothing, it just serves as an annoyance.
They didn't make it from nothing, they took money from its weekday actuals.

True but Marvel fanbase is big enough now to really bolster previews and it doesn't matter which property it really is.
Which doesn't really have anything to do with the comment I made that you quoted and then took out of context :/.

How can you differentiate? 11.2M, number came from the fanbase that trust Marvel to deliver each and every time. This is the main reason why I believe right now is the perfect time for Dr. Strange/BP/Inhumans/Captain Marvel movies.
You can differentiate because when a Turtles movie was announced, no one said

I wouldn't say that. While GOTG doesn't really have a fanbase but Marvel does, hence continued increase in previews' numbers.
Hence why I said larger than Guardians, not larger than Marvel.

TNMT has a strong fan-base for sure.
For sure. Far, far larger than Guardians.

Well Guardians was more of a fanboy movie. Superhero movies usually have big preview numbers.
The Ninja Turtles are superheroes. They've also had multiple cartoons and movies. This isn't some brand spankin new original property.

SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME DBZ NUMBERS!
umm, it's over 9000.

Exposure to the vacuum of space doesn't kill you instantly. You have about 15-30 seconds of consciousness and death within a minute or so. The most unrealistic thing about that scene was how back to normal they looked afterwards.

I don't think so. Paramount has learned their lesson, I believe.
If they didn't learn it from Puerto Rico, they'll never learn it.

Michaelangelo's design is rather bad, though. Donatello's is probably the best.
