  1. I'd pay for someone to get Baumer and Empire locked in a room together.......where they can lash out and get all of their angst out, and then........ Form a bromance
  2. But why does it matter to you if 'perhaps' he is bipolar about it? I guess I don't understand why people care about what others think. I for one hate Twilight, like it's the crappiest films in this decade I have seen. However, I have friends who like it and I don't care if they like it. I love films that people shit on, but it doesn't phase me. I've just accepted reality and what makes diversity great: There will always be a film that will do either of two things at least: there will always be a film that someone will find and like (and yes, this includes films so bad like Dragonball Evolution, I'm sure there are some lone bastards that think it's the greatest thing), OR, there will always be a film that someone will find and loathe, no matter how many people call is amazing or like it. This is life.
  3. I think everyone should just worry about what they like and give zero fucks about anyone else's opinion Everyone can like what they like
  4. I just reviewed the second one. I can't believe I never put a review of the first on here. I was hoping for more with the original, and instead was kind of let down. It had some up moments, but overall to me the characters were a huge let down, as I didn't really care for any of them. The only character that mattered to me was the villain, and in that regard I think the film did a good job of having me hate him. I just wished we would have gotten to know the main lead a bit better. I give it a C, overall a 5/10
  5. While the first wasn't all that great, it at least had somewhat of a back story and showed some effort in telling a story. This film however, is just.......everything that I hate how horror films are today. I absolutely despise this movie, and it's everything that I have against horror movies today. I'm not against obscene or grotesque imagery, however please don't make that the sole focus of your movie. This film has absolutely zero story whatsoever. You basically start the movie with this lunatic loving the movie "The Human Centipede" (in this film, the first movie was portrayed at being just a 'movie', as how we see it), and then BOOM, starts murdering people.............um.....what? You have the mother who gives hints that he was abused by his dad, plus him being a bed a few times that suggest he was abused, but I mean really? So lame, and very lazy. You could tell the director of this just forced those 40 second clips in there to barely put a story in it, but really wanted to just focus on the gore and disturbing stuff. Sorry, but here's some advice horror film directors today: If the movie doesn't have a story or more importantly characters at all that aren't developed who you care about (I mean seriously, did this film give ANY time for any character, any back ground at all? I get there's 12 of them, but at least highlight one or two for us to focus and know more about), then the film automatically for me will lose pretty much any scare as why am I concerned for these strangers that I don't know? It makes no sense other than just lazy directing "Oh, so let's come up with some really fucked up ideas on how to gross people out.....yup, that'll sure scare them".... Like.....are you fucking kidding me? Grow the fuck up. It's really sad that still to this day, movies that have come up 40+ something fucking years later like Alien or The Thing and so forth, are far more scarier and more well crafted than shit stains like this. I mean, as much blame as I give this director, I blame the studio even more for looking at this piece of crap and thinking "Hmm.....yeah, this works". It only gets a D because I will give kudos to some disturbing themes they tried to so, but really if someone gave it an F, I wouldn't object at all. 3/10.
  6. By the way, I rewatched both ANH and ESB. ANH clearly is still my fav. ESB I still love, but it’s like I remembered: ESB’s beginning back to me takes a bit long for it to get going. You really don’t get into the great stuff till Luke meets Yoda. Don’t get me wrong, ESB is an amazng film and an all time classic, but for me it’s not flawless. For me TLJ didn’t really have any lull moments. Even Finn and Roses scene after I rewatched it weren’t that bad to me. Were they necessary? No, and perhaps cutting them out to make the film slightly shorter would of helped, but to me it’s nit picky. I actually loved the horse like creatures, they were adorable. All in all, I put TLJ above ESB, which is a huge and shocking move. I just feel like for me there were a lot of highs with both films, but the highs in TJL were so epic and just jaw dropping (especially with the fight scenes and visuals, I mean that image of a ship crashing through another through light speed......I need a big poster of that, and hang it up on my wall please, like.....right now. )
  7. I loved it, it enforces that the force isn’t just a thing owned by the Skywalkers. Any random person can learn the force. Why it gravitates to some is a mystery, of which I’m fine with.
  8. Yeah, I just got out of my second time seeing it and I think I’m putting it above empire. It’s a fantastic film, and sure thee are some downsides but they really aren’t that bad (the casino scene them to me isn’t bad, I don’t really get all the hate). I just loved this film. And even after a second time I want to see it again, am I not mistaken but does the boy at the very end lift the broom using the force? Or is that just my imagination? My rankings: 1. ANH 2. TLJ 3. ESB 4. TFA 5. ROTJ 6. RO 7. ROTS 8. AOTC 9. TPM
  9. Numbers for TLJ could be a bit better, but I'm not reallly sweating it.
  10. I’ve heard that a lot. One of the guys from Shmoes said the same thing.
  11. So far I’d go: 1. ANH 2. ESB 3. TLJ 4. TFA 5. ROTJ 6. RO (cat shit) 7. ROTS (cat shit mixed with pimple puss) 8. ATCW 9. TPM
  12. Wow.........I mean....... I just saw this last night, wanted to give some time before giving a review to let it all sink in (I might really need to see it at least one more time, if not two more times before I can make an accurate review). I woke up this morning still remembering last night...... Being fucking awesome!!! I don't really get all the hate that some people are directing towards this film. In fact, it's actually really hypocritical compared to what I was hearing when TFA came out. JJ apparently was too safe and did a redo of "ANH" (I see some similarities, but really don't see how it's so called 'identical') and that it was a rip off of it. Now we have a director who went way beyond and took some risks and shook up SW lore, and now people are going to say that it was too bold or too risky and that he should of toned it down? See, I'm a SW fan and I get it. I love it. But this stuff really pisses me off with the fanatic fans of any fanbase. Nothing will ever be perfect for them (I guess unless they directed it themselves). I sure feel bad for them. As for me, I fucking had an awesome time with this movie. Does it have flaws? Sure, but nothing really that stood out to me enough to make a difference as to how I felt. We'll start with the few things that were 'eh' for me, and they are few" Finn and Rose, given what I heard from some on here and online, I was expecting a disaster. However, they really weren't too bad to be honest. I actually liked the Casino part where they were storming through everything, none of that bothered me at all to be honest and I'm not sure why everyone was hating on it. Was it like, orgasmically awesome like a hot fudge sundae? No, of course not. Then again, not EVERY scene has to be that way. It's okay for a movie to have low points. And really, I thought the chase scene was cool and awesome to watch. The reason it's in my "eh" part is really due to how amazing Rey/Luke's story was that of course everytime it went back to Finn, it didn't match up to the intensity of the other pair, and that's fine. I think the only thing with these two that felt weird to me was the weird kiss Rose gives him after she saves him. I took their bond as friendship, more so because I was under the impression that Finn still liked Rey. So when she kissed him, I felt weird a bit (also not to mention I was like, "Um....not to break up this beautiful between the two of you, but just as a reminder there's that big beam above your heads that's going to DESTROY THE WALL, so quick yapping and get moving!). Snoke, It was really great to see him upclose and in person this time, and don't get me wrong I loved that Kylo finished him (and not because of the cliche of him being turned to the light). However, I will admit that we really do know almost nothing about him as he's had very little screen time. It would of been nice to know through a character (either Luke or Kylo) to tell Rey how Snoke got involved and basically Ruined Luke's school through Kylo. Instead, he dies and we never really got any sense of dread from him. Length, I do think this film was a tad bit too long. I think if this film cut out about 15-20 minutes, it would be a perfect run time. I did at times check my phone during the film as it did feel like it extended it's time just a tad bit too long. Just when I thought the Admiral crashing her ship into the fleet was the final battle, nope. We get another battle back at another base, so it did feel a bit weird in that sense. Now......with that out of the way. Time to get into the absolute POSITIVES: Characters, There really isn't one character that stood out, as I thought they ALL did an amazing job. This is arguably probably Mark Hamill's best performance in any Star Wars movie. He pulled off the bitter old man vibe, but also mixed in other emotions such as guilt and hurt, and in the end Hope shown through. Hell, I even LOVED when Yoda made his appearance! He was so funny and just made this film solidified as I felt Yoda was something missing in this series for awhile since ROTJ. Rey was awesome along with others. I thought the film did a great job in giving all the characters breathing room and each their own time (well, with the exception phasma, I do think her character was underutilized and more so in this film vs. TFA. However, given what they did I'll take her character slipping down a bit in role vs. another key character). I loved Chewy! And oh my god.... THE PORGS!!!!! They are my next most cutest thing EVER!!! (Right next to BB8). They were hysterical and so fucking awesome. I loved Chewy's scene with them. Everyone was laughing so hard. I think the biggest Character that jumped was actually Kylo Ren. He went from being a young adult torn about which side he wanted to be on throughout TFA, then ultimately made a decision. To now in this film, starting at the stage but slowly becoming more aggressive and even killing his own master to not be good but be on top at the dark side of the force. It's probably one of the boldest moves I feel like, as SW never has seen a character like this, going after and killing a sith who had control of him only to do it with darker intentions of rising, not due to being pulled to the light. Action Sequences, Granted I give episodes 4-6 credit. They came out decades ago where technology could only do some much, and they made the most of it and to me they still hold up fine. With that said, it's experiences like this movie gives us that makes me feel glad I'm born in this decade. This movie just blew me away with how gorgeous they made the saber scenes and even space battle scenes. I swear to god, the one part where (earlier stated) she crashed her ship into the First Order fleet through light speed.......that shot where it was all silence, I want that shot as my screensaver, because wow how fucking gorgeous. I mean,......this film just had such great fight sequences, it rivals any other in any SW film period. Cinematography, Along with the action sequences, I loved the pallet choice in this film. There was a lot of red and black, and I loved it. Just how everything was shot was so point on. It was a welcoming refreshing new take on how to film a SW film that we weren't used to seeing. Humor, I loved all the funny bits in this movie! I do love what this new trilogy is doing in terms of dropping bits of humor in it (vs the original ones). I loved all the funny moments with Chewy (as stated earlier), I died when Luke first told Rey to reach out her hand.......and then he slaps her with the plant bush lmfao! And at the end when Kylo tell them to fire everything at Luke, lmao Hux being all like "So you think you got him?", everyone died.....until we see Luke, and then he just brushes his shoulder off, that got everyone laughing their asses off. It was just so awesome and so well done. Uuuuuuugh, man this movie was SO GOOD. I could literally rant so much more about it but I doubt anyone will read all this shit lmao. I'm just so happy they did such an amazing job. I'll be seeing it like......legit 9 more times......I'm not going to rank this exactly now till I see it at least one more time, but I do know it's in my top 3 SW films. I give this 9.5/10, A+ Overall. Well Done Disney!!!!!
