The new ones are looking at 7,750+ God Bless the Broken Road - 1,200+ The Nun - 3,700+ Peppermint - 2,850+ at a minimum, holdovers should loose 8,000 locations next weekend, probably more.
  3. Searching out of the top 5 on movietickets.com sales today. Operation Finale still #2 on MT.com, but it shouldn't be #2 on Pulse. Little Strangers was selling good Thursday on Pulse, but it flopped. Slender Man should be the horror movie to beat this long weekend.
  4. no, you just came across a reply to a post. troll bait can either go ignored or it can be "attempted at" or responded to and built upon, almost like it is an exercise. Whether or not you respond, what you process should be an exercise anyways I think.
  5. Perhaps the Star Wars quality issue lies with the fans. Maybe their vision of Star Wars is the one that needs to be paid off. "Star Wars fans who boycott new Star Wars"😁 I don't know if new Star Wars fans will boycott Star Wars sequels.

  8. Here is a list that maps 210 of the 2008 films. They all should qualify for this list too. Ten of them are documentaries/foreign films featured at the 2009 Academy Awards. Direct to video sequels from major motion pictures are included. About twenty independent features are also on the list, but you could probably pick apart letterboxd.com and find 90 more. The first 50 movies probably shows what is on critics top 25 2008 movie lists. The next 110 or so are a mix of movies with good positive reception along with cult classics. The last 50 movies are the forgotten ones and are usually where most FYC's come from. I ranked them based on the average scores from Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, and Metacritic. I took the 2 Metacritic scores, the 2 Rotten Tomatoes scores, and the IMDB score, then combined them and averaged it out. After they were all ranked by number, I re-arranged it based on individual scores along with cinemascore and opening weekend per theater average. The list is lazy with not keeping up on the reception with independent films, so there might be some obvious holes. #50-#1 Definitely, Maybe Pineapple Express Secret Life of Bees The Express Ghost Town Rachel Getting Married Revolutionary Road Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day The Reader The Boy in Striped Pajamas Kit Kittredge Transsiberian Religulous Vicky Cristina Barcelona Tropic Thunder The Bank Job Horton Hears a Who Role Models Forgetting Sarah Marshall Shine a Light Synechdoche, N.Y. Changeling Hellboy: The Golden Army Doubt Curious Case of Benjamin Button Bolt Baader Meinhof Complex - 1F The Garden - 3D Happy Go-Lucky Frozen River The Betrayal - Nerakhoon - 1D Departures - 3F Encounters at the End of the World - 2D Trouble the Water - 5D Revanche - 4F Kung Fu Panda The Class - 2F The Visitor Gran Torino In Bruges Frost/Nixon Milk Let the Right One In Man on Wire - 4D Waltz with Bashir - 5F Iron Man The Wrestler Slumdog Millionaire Wall-E The Dark Knight
  9. guessing 0.84 Thursday on Operation Finale. 1.84 2-day total. the RT audience score dropped 2 points today from 80 to 78. Thursday preview predictions 0.40 - Kin 0.45 - Searching
  10. its fun how film in 1995-2005 all sort of surrounds the millennium. movies have been around for a century. soon those movies around the millennium will be the new Westerns!!!
  11. checked out ancient Woody Allen and Stanley Kubrick books at the library years ago but did not read them.
  12. enormous theater drops for Ant-Man 2, Mission 6, and Christopher Robin. All of them should have found a way to loose 0% of last weeks locations.
  13. instead of debating on how bad Kin is going to flop, I am going to concentrate on how close it could possibly reach between 6-10 million OW.
  14. holy fuck at Operation Finale increasing at the nights end on MT. an A- cinemascore too. OPERATION FINALE (2018)
  15. lol, that could also happen for lots of random bits throughout the book. There is only one way to 100% find out though.
  16. hope enough of the new crowd gets around to the 1,100+ page edition of the book before the new movie. It: Chapter One must have added tens of millions of young fans.
  17. The archives don't get all of them though. With some of the reviews I put the last few months, I searched them on the archive and nothing came up but I searched the forum under 'content titles' and I got a few of them last month alone. There might be a few 'double threads' on the same movie in this forum.
