Incredible hold for TGM. Man it's been fun watching this movie make bank over the summer.

Wow Titanic has sunk again! Incredible run for TGM. Never saw this happening a couple months ago. Wow!

So Elvis took #1 after all as I was expecting which it honestly needed it more than TGM. Crazy how close those estimates were though. TGM’s box office run is truly insane. Never would’ve predicted it would make this much even about a month ago. Lightyear is falling without style.

Good post. I'm very curious to see how that Whitney Houston biopic performs later this year.

I think folks are really underestimating Elvis. As amazing as it would be to see TGM reclaim #1, I just don't see it happening, but I would love to be proven wrong. I'm expecting Elvis to come out on top in the very low $40M range. What I can see happening for TGM is joining the $1B club by the end of the weekend. Insane.

I knew Lightyear wasn’t going to open up to Toy Story-esque numbers, but I wasn’t expecting it to flop this hard. Sheesh. I thought the marketing was confusing and once I found out that it wasn’t really about Andy’s toy Buzz Lightyear, I personally lost interest. I’m one of those folks who will get around to watching it on streaming once it’s out.

I'm also still having a hard time seeing this breakout to huge numbers like a TS film, but who knows. Maybe I'll be proven wrong.

Expected TGM to take a solid hit after losing those PLF screens to JWD. Considering that I first thought this would hit around $200 mil domestically, TGM is still doing incredibly well and I expect it to have long legs. I'll get around to watching JWD eventually. Honestly, if it didn't have the OGs from JP, I wouldn't even be compelled to watch it in theaters. JP is still the GOAT in that franchise with JW coming in second for me. I'm intrigued to see how much it drops next weekend.

29% drop?! Holy shit! I'm so intrigued to see how it does this weekend with JWD out. I really want to see this hit $1B.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Hell, I've been lurking in here for years now, but leave it up to a movie like TGM to have me posting in here again. Seen it more than once now and my mind is still blown. I haven't been this hyped for a movie's box office run in a minute. PS - I gotta say that it's great to still see some folks from the Box Office Mojo days still posting here.
