Iron Man 3 was the best comic book film since the Avengers, even though that's not saying much (The Avengers was great but all of the comic book movies afterwards were lackluster, Iron Man 3 got a 7.5/10 from me and Thor 2 a 7/10, Man of Steel 2/10, TDKR 6.5/10, The Wolverine 5.5/10, TASM 7/10, Kick-Ass 2 4.5/10)
It honestly would have been fine if she left romance out, although that would be unrealistic in any story involving teenagers. I personally liked Snape's backstory though, he was the best character in the books.Honestly it was nearly Snape's story more than it was Harry's.
Out of those I'd rank them,Ones I really liked GravityCatching FireStar Trek: Into DarknessOnes I likedPacific RimMonster's UniversityIron Man 3Ones that were mediocreWorld War ZThe WolverineOzOnes that were badMan of SteelThe Lone Ranger
Best action sequence of 2013 was the giant robot dragging a submarine through Hong Kong and smashing a Godzilla monster with it.I don't know what any of those stuff are called though because let's just say when I watched pacific rim my brain was only capable of processing the giant monsters fighting giant robots
I never thought I'd be posting on behalf of The Hunger Games fans over LOTR (despite it being my favorite trilogy, yeah they're better than the Godfather because the third one sucked), but given that Desolation Smaug isn't going to be good as Catching Fire was, I have picked my side.
I agree, every potter book post goblet was packed with content to adapt.I had the same problem with Ender's Game (but much more drastic) in that they only gave the movie 2 hours and it felt extremely rushed. The film would have been good (and possibly a BO breakout) if they had 1.Changed the date to not be so close to fierce competition2.Made it two 160 minute movies, call the second Ender's Shadow and basically tell Ender's game in detail through the end of battle school first flick, second add Bean's backstory and such and then play out everything else in the second flick, would have made for a much better paced film. It's kind of weird, I'm complaining about some films not taking their time, and then with the hobbit I pick it apart for taking to much time, it's a thin balance and really depends on what content you have to work with.
To be fair the Harry Potter books are long, honestly what made Deathly Hallows Pt 2 so good was that there was less plot to cover and more time to do it.I would have been okay with Half Blood Prince and Order of the Phoenix getting two movies (maybe even Goblet), I actually like the idea of turning a book into two movies as long as there is enough content in it to do so.
