  2. I think Anchorman 2 is safe for number 1, but my hunch of American Hustle knocking the Hobbit down to third might come true, or at least come close.
  3. It's awesome to see Inside Llewyn Davis and Her performing so well in a competitive year.
  4. This is another one of the best scenes of the year right here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9dBOi4nTm8
  5. Is, Please Mr. Kennedy not eligible? That's a major shame if it's not.

  7. 12 Years has a higher average rating than Gravity with the top critics by a good margin, but still they're neck and neck.
  8. It was one of my favorite twists of the year.
  9. I'll join, just send me reminders when I need to do stuff, I am rather forgetful.

  11. "After seeing the Desolation of Smaug I came up with one thing, the entire movie seemed like what would happen if you let Zach Snyder get his hands on a Middle Earth movie. The Desolation of Smaug is an overbloated action piece that only exists to give Jackson a giant CGI toybox that he can use to make another mountain of cash off of. The Jackson who once had respect for the source material, who cared about the characters and how to develop them, and who tried fervently to create the best film possible is no more, he is now washed in his own corrupt, greedy, ego feeding only off of the new Hollywood blockbuster trend of, "Bigger is better"....." 12. Andrew Jackson, especially show all the juicy stuff with Rachel Jackson, and him beating other people that got him mad with his cane, etc. Also, bringing in his adopted native son and then showing the impact of trail of tears could be really good. Seriously, why have they NOT made an Andrew Jackson biopic, his entire life is so interesting. (Raised in a log cabin, captured as a boy during the American Revolution only to have his entire family dead by the end of it and he even watches his mother die, the Battle of New Orleans, his campaigns into Florida, the fierce political campaigns by Jackson, Rachel Jacksons, all of his political actions, the couple of times he beat other people that got him mad with his cane, dueling, him going broke by the end of his life) There is just so much stuff fit for cinema that went on in his life.
  13. The Opening of Gravity Let It Go in Frozen The Opening of the Way Way Back The Robot smashing a Godzilla monster with a sub tank in Pacific Rim Bilbo-Smaug scene in The Hobbit (Despite me not being a fan of the movie, that one scene was movie stealing and phenomenally well done, to bad the rest of the movie was just popcorn action and garbage) The "Hanging" Scene in 12 Years a Slave The Exorcism of Jonah Hill

  15. My Frozen over Smaug club is pretty much locked now, xD. I'm honestly kind of happy about it because Frozen was by far the better movie.
  16. Good's one thing, but award worthy? Especially Ina year packed with tons of more deserving contenders (who had more buzz going for them), I would have given it to Michael B. Jordan or even Idris Elba long before I'd nominate Whitaker.
  17. Wolf of Wall Street of course, plus the Jonah hill snub is sad.
  18. The fact that they put Forest Whitaker in over DiCaprio or Redford makes me mad. (Even then, there are tons of others more deserving of the nod) Hopefully they aren't the exact same noms for the Oscars.
  19. I'm actually really happy they nominated Rush instead of the Butler, it was a great choice, and Oprah not getting a nomination is pretty grand as well. The one thing that I'm confused about it why they snubbed Martin Scorcese and The Coen Bros
  20. What if it's Cars 2 and the Incredibles didn't make the cut?
  21. The reviews have been lackluster as well, I am seeing it get maybe an acting nod for Streep and maybe one for Martindale and that's about it. (Also a screenplay possibility) I can't see it getting a best picture nod currently, especially with all of the competition for the last couple slots.
  22. She's the it girl right now, and not to mention she picks good projects to work on.
  23. I didn't love Despicable Me 2, but I did enjoy it.
  24. Gravity is honestly another obstacle, i'm currently thinking it's going to be a three horse race as of right now. As for nominees, i'd really like it if Fruitvale could get a slot, ESPECIALLY if knocked out the mediocre Butler.
