  1. I just didn't get enough from that Trailer to form any kinda opinion on it. Looks like one of those films where it ends up being so much more fun and goofier than the trailer lets on. Than again, I doubt this trailer was to get the kids attention. It's something to get the attention of the older audiences.
  2. Shit had me like I imagine that the fun trailers and made-4-ads footage will be pumped out like all hell in the next couple of months, so... meh.
  3. 3D was a gimmick. I feel like I'm being more realistic about where things will end up.
  4. It'll be like going to the theatre. Because you only rarely go, actually going to the theatre to see a play becomes an event.
  5. But I agree with them, though. I think that in 15 years or so; many cinemas will shut down, the few that remain will feature gargantuan IMAX screens, only huge blockbusters will be released and they'll play for a year, ticket prices will skyrocket, The cinema will be seen as an event smaller movies will only be available through home media which would have fully transitioned online. Technology will have evolved to make filmmaking so Easy that anyone could do it. More visions from more people will lead to a slew of brilliant movies, and many movies so bad their good.
  6. With the way we've been talking about piracy and what's next for movies, you've got me thinking about what George Lucas and Spielberg predict about the future of cinema The bold is pretty much how I see things turning out.
  7. It was originally called Computer Exchange, but it became much more than computers. The original store in London still has the sign as "Computer Exchange".
  8. Me too. Usually I know what movies I'm gonna buy for the year in January, but there's this popular second hand store in the UK called CEX and sometimes I go in and just buy a random bunch of cheap blurays for £20.
  9. I feel bad for people that grew up in a world without free porn. That shit musta been a struggle.
  10. I don't know about the execs, but during the Sony leaks it was revealed somebody over there was torrenting copies of Adventure Time. Is Amy Pascal a fan of Finn and Jake?
  11. Same in the UK with TWD and GoT. Looking at the ratings for both shows in the UK, millions more people watch online rather than pay to watch those shows on premium channels.
  12. You'd would be arresting a lot of people. I know things are different with legit streaming services now, but when I was at school it was pretty odd hearing somebody was paying money for music. In Uni, paying for entertainment apart from some films at the cinema just didn't happen.
  13. Piracy is just common nowadays. I know absolutely nobody that would pay to watch a movie if a perfectly fine copy has leaked online. Everybody pirates TV shows, more and more people are streaming Sports for free, and kids stream the new episodes of their shows so they watch them before they're shown in the UK. It can't be stopped at this point. Nobody can see any negatives with doing it.
  14. Having seen the quality of the torrents currently available I question how he watched it for more than 5 minutes, or why he even bothered to watch it.
  15. I'm in the UK and I've only ever heard of Trainwreck on this site. Edit: watched the trailer, this will do VERY well on HV over here. Amy Shmurda (whatever her name) will probably be bigger over here by then anyway.
  16. Yep. When it comes to Disney, movies are just giant ads to sell overpriced toys. Fox could make more on F4 and still won't see the same profit Disney would.
  17. because that's probably make or break on whether I see it in theatres or not It's pretty juicy, didn't expect to see the character for that long. Also the post credit scene is very exciting.
  18. They also launched a merchandise line for the character that will continue through Civil War. That and the reduced budget is a win.
