  1. The final trend - almost no changes: #1 Dune: Part Two 475k #2 The Zone of Interest 90k #3 Wunderland 65k #4 Eine Million Minuten 50k #5 Anyone But You 50k #6 Ella und der schwarze Jaguar 45k #7 Maria Montessori 47.5k #8 Bob Marley 35k #9 Migration 32.5k ... Drive-Away Dolls 20k Der Zopf 12.5k
  2. I always like these small surprise hits and maybe this is one of them. Cabrini, counted today for today (ca. at noon here in Germany): NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 47 (5 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 218 (8 showtimes) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): (6 showtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 28 (4 showtimes) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 15 (3 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 55 (4 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): 30 (4 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 503. Up modest 11.5% since yesterday. Interesting jump-behavior. Normally (partly) religious films have quite good numbers right from the start and then (almost) no single ticket is booked anymore. In this case the biggest jump happened in an action-affine theater (the AMC in NY) where it jumped from yesterday 13 tickets to now 47 and also at Lincoln Square 13 it looked good - really strange . Sound of Freedom (14.2M OD, with pre-previews?) had on Tuesday for Tuesday 1.189 sold tickets = 42.3% = ca. 6M true Friday for Cabrini. Sound not so much different than other reports here but also a bit too good, no? I mean, Jim Caviezel is no stanger and SoF had a lot of reviews already some hours after the release and here I see nothing so let's see.
  3. Cabrini, counted today for Friday: NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 13 (5 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 205 (8 showtimes) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 102 (6 showtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 28 (4 showtimes) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 16 (3 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 53 (4 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): 26 (4 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 443. Comps: Overcomer (8.1M) had on Thursday for Friday 34 sold tickets and After Death (5.1M OW) had also on Thursday for Friday 185 sold tickets. Sound of Freedom (41.7M 6-day) had 2 days earlier, on Tuesday for Friday, 380 sold tickets. Maybe with good WOM high single digits or double digits are possible.
  4. Cabrini, counted today for today: NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 5 (2 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 49 (1 showtime) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 20 (12 showtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 3 (1 showtime) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 10 (2 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 24 (2 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): 14 (2 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 125. Comps: Overcomer (775k from previews) had on Thursday for Thursday 91 sold tickets and After Death (2.1M OD) had also on Thursday for Thursday 78 sold tickets. Sound of Freedom (14.2M OD) had on Tuesday for Tuesday 1.189 sold tickets. No idea to which preview number this could lead but IMO with the good reviews it should at least reach 500k+.
  5. Kung Fu Panda 4, counted today for Friday: NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 240 (10 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): (17 showtimes) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 56 (12 showtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 68 (11 showtimes) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 56 (10 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): (13 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): (18 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 1.185. Comps: Dolittle (5.375M true Friday) had 395 sold tickets = 16.1M true Friday for KFP. JWD (41.55M) had 5.623 = 8.7M. Boss Baby 2 (6.4M) had 190 = 39.9M (🤔). Sonic 2 (20.15M) had 1.851 = 12.9M. Minions 2 (37.4M) had 2.893 = 15.3M. And Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie had 560 sold tickets but here I have no true Friday number → it made 6.8M on Thursday + Friday. Average (without Paw Patrol because of the missing Friday number): 18.6M with Boss Baby 2 and 13.25M without BB2. So if I take the lower average and it would jump let's say 50% on Saturday it would be very roughly 50M OW.
  6. Will report precise numbers later but for the moment: It seems that I completely underestimated Cabrini. Today I looked at its Friday presales and they're indeed very good, ca. 4x better than those for Thursday. Plus it gets showtimes in every theater.
  7. Kung Fu Panda 4, counted today for Thursday: NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 119 (7 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 30 (6 showtimes) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 30 (9 showtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 11 (6 showtimes) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 58 (7 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 118 (9 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): 287 (16 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 670. My problem is that I counted Minions, Paw Patrol, Strange World and so on but for Friday and not for Thursday. Maybe I switch to Friday tomorrow. But I found some older comps: Dolittle (925k from previews) had 245 sold tickets = 2.55M. Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile (575k) had 106 = 3.65M. Maleficent 2 (2.3M) had 945 = 1.65M. And JWD (18M) had 3.821 = 3.15M. (Wonka had 1 day later, on Thursday of its release week 1.209 sold tickets and Migration had on the same day 185 sold tickets.) Average: 2.75M. Some films are older so with inflation adjustment 3M+ at the moment. But to be honest, I expected better numbers.
  8. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, counted yesterday for Friday, March 22. 17 days left. NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 41 (5 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 17 (9 showtimes) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 4 (12 showtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 4 (6 showtimes) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 0 (9 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 44 (8 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): 48 (13 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 161. Comps (both films counted for Friday; I will have more comps when the release date comes closer): Uncharted had 276 sold tickets with 16 days left and G: A had 457 sold tickets with 5 days left = 34% at the moment with 12 days left for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire to come closer or overtake. Again several fake sell-outs for Thursday were reported. Still doing not great but ok in my theaters. Kung Fu Panda 4 in a few hours.
  9. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, counted 3 days ago (last Friday) after ca. 1 day on sale for Friday, March 22. 21 days left. NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 24 (5 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 11 (9 showtimes) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 3 (12 showtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 2 (6 showtimes) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 0 (9 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 34 (8 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): 24 (13 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 98. Comps (all three movies counted also after ca. 24 hrs on sale and for Friday): Napoleon (first full day Wednesday) had 141 sold tickets, M3gan had 43 and The Black Phone had 34 sold tickets. The Nun II had with 7 days left 218 sold tickets. I counted the Friday because it showed several fake sell-outs for Thursday. Overall that was no great but solid start in my theaters.
  10. The Monday update from insidekino.de - some small increases: #1 Dune: Part Two 690k (the predecessor had 396.256 admissions) #2 The Zone of Interest 100k (released in only 155 theaters) #3 Eine Million Minuten 72.5k/887.5k #4 Anyone But You 65k/1.400M #5 Bob Marley: One Love 60k/375k #6 Ella und der schwarze Jaguar 57.5k/772.5k
  11. The top 7 (insidekino.de final trend): #1 Dune: Part Two 675k #2 The Zone of Interest 92.5k #3 Eine Million Minuten 72.5k #4 Anyone But You 65k #5 Bob Marley 60k #6 Ella und der schwarze Jaguar 57.5k #7 Migration 42.5k I think at least partly the weather is to blame. The week was pretty grey but even in my region it was sunny after noon and many people visited cafés and so on.
  12. The second trend from insidekino.de: #1 Dune: Part Two 700k #2 The Zone of Interest 95k #3 Eine Million Minuten 75k #4 Anyone But You 62.5k #5 Bob Marley: One Love 62.5k #6 Ella und der schwarze Jaguar 55k #7 Migration 40k So a bit worse for Dune: Part Two (still a good result). But most other films, especially Anyone But You, increased.
  13. Dune: Part Two, counted today for today: NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 356 (7 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 612 (12 showtimes) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 141 (11 showtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 72 (6 showtimes) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 238 (7 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 973 (8 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): 1.499 (13 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 3.891. Up mediocre 11.5% since yesterday. Comps (all movies counted on Thursday of the release week for Thursday): Dune (5.1M from previews) had 2.519 sold tickets = 7.9M/ca. 9M (?) inflation-adjusted. G: A (4.5M) had 1.437 = 12.2M. Uncharted (3.7M) had 1.294 = 11.1M. JWD (18M) had 4.342 = 16.1M. The Creator (1.6M) had 1.120 = 5.6M. And SC (8.8M) had 3.617 sold tickets = 9.5M. Average: 10.4M Thursday (without EA). Dune comp only: Ca. 9M.
  14. Dune: Part Two, counted today for tomorrow: NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 315 (7 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 554 (12 showtimes) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 109 (9 showtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 69 (2 showtimes) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 214 (7 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 802 (8 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): 1.431 (13 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 3.494. Up so-so 19.5% since Monday. Comps (all movies counted on Wednesday of the release week for Thursday; no Dune comps today but tomorrow again): G: A (4.5M) had 1.221 = 12.9M. Eternals (9.5M) had 3.581 = 9.3M. Uncharted (3.7M) had 1.062 = 12.2M. Nope (6.4M) had 2.839 = 7.9M. JWD (18M) had 3.821 = 16.5M. And SC (8.8M) had 3.166 = 10.1M. Average: 11.4M Thursday (without EA). Seems almost too good. Let's see if it can keep the pace to the end.
  15. Dune: Part Two, counted yesterday for Thursday: NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 273 (5 showtimes; Dune had back then on the same day 143 sold tickets) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 414 (12 showtimes; Dune: 297 sold tickets) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 63 (9 showtimes; Dune had no showtimes yet) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 50 (2 showtimes; also no showtimes yet) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 136 (7 showtimes; Dune: 63 sold tickets) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 693 (5 showtimes; Dune: 636 sold tickets) LA (AMC Universal): 1.300 (11 showtimes; Dune: 719 sold tickets) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 2.929. Comps (all movies counted on Monday of the release week for Thursday: Dune (5.1M) had 1.038 sold tickets = 8.05M true Thursday for Dune 2. The Creator (1.6M) had 327 = 5.8M. G: A (4.5M) had 936 = 14.1M. Wakanda Forever (28M) had 6.765 = 12.2M. And SC (8.8M) had 2.561 = 10.1M. Average: 10.05M Thursday (without EA). So pretty much in line with other reports and I did not look at them first .
  16. The Monday update from insidekino.de: #1 Disney Channel Mitmachkino 160k #2 Eine Million Minuten 115k/775k total admissions #3 Anyone But You 95k/1.315M #4 Ella und der schwarze Jaguar 95k/702.5k #5 Bob Marley: One Love 95k/285k #6 Migration 67.5k/2.0875M #7 Madame Web 55k/200k ... 17. 18. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - To the Hashira Training counted today for today: NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 221 (5 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 103 (4 showtimes) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 57 (2 showtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 43 (3 showtimes) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 52 (2 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 184 (5 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): 275 (6 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 975. Overall a nice number. Up so-so 27.5% since Monday. Comps (all films counted for Thursday): The Boy and the Heron (? from previews/5.45M OD including previews, 13M OW) had 456 sold tickets. Godzilla Minus One (1M Thursday only; 2.1M Wednesday + Thursday) had 285 sold tickets = 2.1M. And Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (4.3M from previews) had 1.457 sold tickets = 2.9M (slightly down from on Monday 3.1M). Average from the two comps with preview numbers: 2.5M. But it lost a bit in the comp(s) since Monday so I would go with 2M+ from my theaters.
  19. Drive-Away Dolls, counted today for today, had ok 228 sold tickets in 7 theaters. Comps: Zola (released on Wednesday, 500k OD, 2M OW 5-day) had 114 sold tickets and Bros (500k from previews/4.8M OW) had also on Thursday for Thursday 264 sold tickets. (The Green Knight had on Thursday for Friday 498 sold tickets). I could imagine that Drive-Away Dolls is a bit more walk-up friendly than Bros because it's a road trip-action-comedy. So my guess is 500k from previews.
  20. Ordinary Angels, counted today for today, had only 36 sold tickets in 6 theaters (no showtimes in the AMC in NY). Comps (both films counted on Thursday for Thursday): Overcomer (775k from previews) had 91 sold tickets and After Death (2.1M OD including previews) had 71 sold tickets. So IMO if its walk-ups are not really good it will not even reach 5M OW.
  21. A bit late, sorry... Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - To the Hashira Training counted on Monday for Thursday: NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 157 (5 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 67 (2 showtimes) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 50 (2 showtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 32 (2 showtimes) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 52 (2 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 184 (5 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): 222 (5 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 764. Comps (pretty vague at the moment; all films counted for Thursday): The Boy and the Heron (5.45M OD including previews, 13M OW) had 2 days later, on Wednesday of the release week, 408 sold tickets. Godzilla Minus One (1M Thursday only; 2.1M Wednesday + Thursday) had 1 day later, on Tuesday of the release week, 277 sold tickets. And Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (4.3M from previews) had on the same day, Monday of the release week, 1.074 sold tickets = 3.1M from previews for Demon Slayer - To the Hashira Training. It's too bad that I didn't count other Demon Slayer movies back then but so far the presales of the new Demon Slayer movie look good in my theaters.
  22. The Monday update from insidekino.de - most films slightly increased: #1 Ella und der schwarze Jaguar 147.5k/580k total admissions #2 Eine Million Minuten 140k/615k #3 Bob Marley: One Love 152.5k (including previews) #4 Anyone But You 122.5k/1.185M #5 Migration 97.5k/2.005M #6 Madame Web 127.5k (including previews) #7 Argylle 47.5k/305k #8 The Beekeeper 40k/687.5k #9 Wonka 40k/2.462.5k
  23. The final trend from insidekino.de (Bob Marley and Madame Web including previews): #1 Eine Million Minuten 142.5k #2 Ella und der schwarze Jaguar 135k #3 Anyone But You 125k #4 Bob Marley: One Love 150k - (slightly) above expectations #5 Madame Web 125k #6 Migration 90k #7 Argylle 47.5k #8 The Beekeeper 42.5k #9 Wonka 40k #10 Poor Things 32.5k #11 Night Swim 27.5k #12 Wish 27.5k
  24. Yesterday it had 1.487 sold tickets for Wednesday. Up fine 81.5% since last Wednesday. Bob Marley: One Love, counted today for tomorrow: NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 617 (8 showtimes) Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 309 (10 showtimes) Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 94 (7 howtimes) Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 69 (4 showtimes) Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 160 (7 showtimes) San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16): 274 (8 showtimes) LA (AMC Universal): 391 (13 showtimes) Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 1.914. Up decent 28% since yesterday. Comps: Respect (650k from previews/2.95M true Friday/8.8M OW 3-day) had on Thursday of the release for Friday 247 sold tickets = 22.85M (very probably a bit too optimistic). I Wanna Dance with Somebody (750k from previews/1.25M true Friday/5.3M OW 3-day) had also on Thursday for Friday 220 sold tickets = 10.85M. And House of Gucci (1.3M from previews/2.9M true Friday/22M OW 5-day) had on Tuesday for Wednesday 548 sold tickets = 10.15M. The Color Purple (18.15M OD) had with 6 days left 1.318 sold tickets. I guess that TCP finally had over 2k sold tickets but not so much more so BM: OL came pretty close. The average of the three comps above (without TCP) would be 14.6M. That sounds a bit too good but in every comp it gets more than 10M OD. It's also a good sign that it does well in every region. So my guess is that it will reach low double digits OD.
